you forgot MAX. I think in terms of success MAX is above ZONE in terms of success, and close to SPEED.
first three MAX albums are million sellers, the second one sold close to 2 million actually if I remeber correctly. and they do have a lot of hit singles with sales like ranging from 500.000 - 1.000.000+. pretty much all of their singles from 95-00 debuted within oricon top 10. and late nineties oricon top ten meant at least 500.000 copies sold.
and MAX are still around, and made it though their 10th anniversary. most of the members are involved in doramas & tv-personas, but their music career most likely isn't over yet.
I think MAX is THE jpop girlband. they may not be the most succesful, but they are still super succesfull. and most of all, they do have a long career instead of just a few original albums and a huge bunch of compilations like so many other girlbands ...
MAX has 5 original albums, 2 compilation albums (other is half all-new material tho) and 2 remix albums ( GOOD remix albums, a great trance remix album and a super eurobeat remix album), + 30 singles.
