That's pretty common with Ayu's albums. There are songs that obviously stick out like a sore thumb due to a change in the direction she's going for the album compared to whatever she was doing for the singles (GREEN, The Bs in Secret...) so perhaps you could think of progress and BRILLANTE as the slightly out of place singles of this release?
What I love about Ayu's releases is that despite how different a lot of the tracks end up being, they ultimately work together quite well. Though I am usually called pretty crazy for thinking that albums like (miss)understood and Rock'n'Roll Circus are cohesive, lol.
