I think there's a lot that's off about the whole situation with Mannie, but while her marrying somebody Austrian is a shock, marrying another Japanese celebrity would make more sense as a publicity stunt.
The whole "there's no such thing as bad publicity" thing doesn't work for Japanese celebrities. Which is why Mannie as a publicity stunt doesn't make sense.
I think she just made some quick decisions. If they're good or not is for her to deal with.
