Well, Mannie has (had?) long hair--well, longer hair than some guys--and while we haven't really been close to him I'm assuming that he has long eyelashes, so. You know. That's that.

I do enjoy the nonsense about publicity stunts, I have to say. The people who argue for its validity are as much in denial as the people on FOX News.

@zeke Natsuki has been around Ayumi since 1998 and appears in one of her 1st music videos & was all Ayumi talked about for 6 months of radio interviews. her twitter is @natsukikey plus a 2nd one Ayumi follows on her friends list that i forget right now

November and sending mail she never gave a non cryptic answer about. But since Sending Mail is made of lines that describe how she met fans in LA 11/14/2010, I'm guessing it's all about her fans to her. November is only (obvious) as someone above stated, when you stop thinking you know it all and realize the whole thing was a publicity stunt and that's why no papers were ever filed in Japan, not the Avex cop out answer of she was going to move to the US. Which everyone with a brain can tell was complete bull.

You seriously need to look harder, stating something exists but not giving anyone any proof is basically the same as just making ******* up. I could argue with anyone until the cows came home that the purple flying spaghetti monster built this earth out of play-dough and tacos and quote passages from magazines and talk about interviews that the spaghetti monster did to try and prove it, but unless I show people hard evidence, you think they'll believe me? If you're so convinced of your facts, show us the proof, stop stating that "anyone with a brain cell" could figure it out, that's not how the internet works. All you have is opinions and conjecture, and that's seriously not enough to try and get your point across. If you can't prove your point, then stop bringing it up, its getting really old.

I wasn't even bringing that up again Teamayu2004, I was answering someone's question about November. At the same time pointing out Song 4 U is about the same person. And Song 4 U is hard to miss the meaning if you read the exchange of tweets between the 2 people involved.

Here Mannie says his favourite songs are Sending Mail and November, two weeks before the release so before any translations existed on the Internet. Both songs are arguably easily about him (with references) so unless he knows Japanese I'm guessing Ayumi told him so/explained the lyrics to him -

Half of the forum said it was written about a woman when we 1st saw the translation. With the long bangs and eyelashes mentioned in the song it certainly isn't worded like it's about a man. So I was going by who else was there with her in November. It's also possible she took fans letters to her in November and wrote it about their descriptions of her and went from there for a love song. Much like I noticed Sending Mail described how she met fans that week and had a love song built around that. And for FIVE, Beloved used words from fans, because the translations I've seen have 2 small phrases I wrote to her by TA Email word for word and I'm guessing if the correct fans looked at the song carefully they'll notice the same.

@ExodusUK Mannie's words don't mean anything to any of us that recognize the whole thing as a publicity stunt. She had no real feelings for the guy, never planned to move here, never tried to make it work like she waited for a PQ interview to say she did & said CALL was written about trying. If theyre supposed to sound like they are, then theyre to help sell the stunt as well as the album. The whole thing was a way over the top publicity stunt from Love Songs to PQ which is why everything from that period I find to be absolutely the worst of her career and worthless CDs to boot.

In sending mail it's translated as if she's talking about a person in particular.
Thank U is much more likely the fan song IMO, plus she has a line about the fan thing about ~being under the same sky~. Though Japanese is so ambiguous with pronouns/subjects there's no point trying to figure it out..

Sending mail is much more likely to be about Mannie than fans. It's got all the hints about long distance, communicating with someone digitally etc... and I think we all have evidence for that in their Twitter love-love sessions.

Comparing November to Song 4 u is ridiculous too. There are too many lines in November that rely on Ayu's standard imagery. It has more comparisons with moments than Song 4 u. Is that song about Natsuki too? Was Nagase a cover up too?

Don't answer those last two questions.

That's a very cynical way of looking it but okay..it just goes against everything Ayu has maintained throughout her whole career about being truthful and genuine but maybe I'm just being ~naive~. Though everything about that period seems to be asking for bad publicity (marrying a foreigner for one), if Ayu wanted publicity she would have probably be walking around Tokyo hand-in-hand with Mannie not hiding for two months in LA straight after CDL.

The entire conspiracy theory you have is flawed.

She has never resorted to a stunt before so why start so late in her career, especially in a country that stuff like that is frowned upon and would HURT her career, not help it. this is about more then just one person, you have to look at the culture she is from and see what is acceptable and what is not.

No one's opinions are going to change so it's pointless to answer any more questions. I supplied the spot to find the pics, you can believe what you want. But if you're going to tell people to believe what Mannie says, doesn't that mean Ayu, her staff and the press all lied and theyre still married too. I'm more careful about what I believe these days and celebs take publicity too far for me to believe what Avex is trying to sell or a single word from a guy like Mannie.

And she wasnt hiding in LA, she was working and if you follow the pics from the link there was alot of that time spent out with Natsuki, Mie Kim, Christophe Choo and Stanley Kim, among other staff.

She's had more than one publicity stunt, you really don't watch things very carefully.

But also, some are more acceptable then others. As for marring and divorcing, thats not looked upon very well in Japan. So to do this, later into her career, would HURT not help.
Look at Namie... her career collapsed when she was divorced.

Exactly, marrying someone actually in the public eye in Japan would make a lot more sense than some random Austrian man if that was Ayu's motive.
