I think saying "the concerts are all the same" is something only people who went to every single one of them are allowed to say. After all, they are meant to be seen live. And I really don't think that most of these people would say that.
I can see where we (we in this forum) come from, as most of us only purchase the footage. I wasn't impressed by any whole setlist in the past few years and I stopped watching the concert with big attention, but if I would get the chance, I would never not go to see it live. The DVDs are just bonus. If you compare that to western standards, your rarely get as much concert footage as in Japan. I recently listend to a few Beyonce live albums - and they are basically all the same too.
