Okay first off, you know the story BEFORE it became a giant thing.

One of Ayu's best friends / colleagues, Mika Noguchi also known as 'Peach John' [she did ther booklet for (miss)understood, the photography] lost one of her precious artifacts of jewelry or w/e at a shooting for a PV and Ayu wanted to help her look for it, but then they were unable to find it so Ayu went with her to buy a similar piece of jewelry.

The rumor started when people supposedly saw a Hispanic[?] man with Ayu or something and called him 'Timmy' and they supposedly saw him go in to a store called 'Tiffany's' and went with him to buy an engagement ring. But then again, a lot of things look like 'wtf?!' xD

Japanese magazines recently reported that Ayumi was seen shopping for a wedding ring at Tiffany & Co in New York in October with a 22-year-old African-American guy known only as Tim.

But around the same time, there were also reports that Tomoya flew to Ayumi's side to celebrate her birthday, and they cut the cake together like a loving couple.

Tim, whose father is a famous designer in Japan, reportedly told a friend that 'Tomoya is starting to get suspicious!'.

The truth is still unclear, but a newspaper speculated that Ayumi could be facing pressure from her management company to come clean.'
