I hope Ayu's 10th album will be a Best Collection + New Songs

and make it a big event like A Best ...

doesn't even need that many new songs (although it would be nice) ... 7 new songs or so will be good enough ..

just a random thought as I'm watching all of Ayu's PV these few days

Tha collection would have to have like two discs at the last to cover her best from five full albums and a mini-album. I think if that happened we'd get one new song.

Well next year is Ayu's 10TH ANNIVERSARY with AVEX and I think she may be planning something for then? I don't really want a BEST album though - I mean, why would you if you have all her material or have easy access to it?

next year is only the 9th i tot...its 2008 then its the 10th (she debut in 1998 rite?)

But i think before she leaves for the Asia tour, she should release something big...i definitely wan new songs if she has BEST album..

Something like "The Hits & Beyond" to signify a celebration of all her past hits and to have new songs and inform that her career will still continue, hence "Beyond"

Some supa BEST covering from the release of her last A BEST 'till now. omsc. It would be awesome.

But I'm not sure about when (if) this would come out exactly (year-wise).

Ayu's probably totally change the BEST-genre by resinging and rearranging the songs rather that just putting them on a collection

That's what I meant, oops. I was thinking in terms of my school years (this year is 2006-2007 and next year is 2007-2008), sorry for the confusion!

I actually might be open to the idea if I were able to attend the TOUR that follows the BEST album! I would love to see ALL of AYU's FAN FAVORITES performed LIVE!

Yeah, like how Furuya Hitomi got her own record label. For Ayu's 10th anniversary I think she'll do something huge, but the sales will still depend on the quality of her material. She'll need to have REALLY GOOD singles coming into the album's release, 'cause that'll ensure her best album yet

However, I agree with the statements about another BEST album...she shouldn't do that until she's ready to retire or something.

ayu's 10th anniversary will be in 2008!!

i do not want it to be like A BEST!!!! A BEST period should not be remembered...

instead, we can have another Secret or MY STORY or I am... with the same amount of promotion as A BEST

well.. after waiting for a year for ayu's new album, i dont think anyone wants it to be a compilation right? lol =x

I think it would be a lot more interesting to make f.ex a double disc, one with re-arrangements and one with her best hits. I know I woulden't buy somethins like A BEST, not even if it had new vocals. I would however buy rearranged tracks.

She already own a part of avex, I don't see why she needs her own label...?

I'm not a fan of the BEST album idea, I'd much rather have a new full album with fresh material.

It would work out for me if she rearranged and rerecorded the music and vocals, though.

i'm okay with Best album since it's been 6 years since A-best, and there are more more good ayu songs that other ayu fans had no idea of, or forgotten ayu. a Best album might bring in more ayu fans.

just to let you know, i'm a fan through A-Best. that's why i think it will work with the songs are right, i love all of A-Best songs!!!!!!

If she releases a compilation it should be something reminiscent of a Collectors' Box Set, it could include original and reworked songs AND PVs along with the best AT, CDL and TV peformances and a separate DVD called "The Real Ayu" which would be a 2-hour documentary that would answer all questions AHSers alike have.
5.1 editions of all her albums would be great as well, seeing as Björk did it, it shouldn't be a problem for Ayumi.
