Why HANABI ~episode II~ and not HANABI???

Hi there!


I was wondering:

Why did Ayu chose HANABI ~episode II~ for her videoclip and not HANABI???

Is it because the meaning of both of the songs are different??? Or is there some other reason???

I think she didn't know there was gonna be an episode 2 when she made the first one.. And.. Since the whole H-single doesn't have PVs; she probably didn't have time or it wasn't necessary.. but with the &-single; she needed the promotion.

She was freaking busy with all her tours that year. ARENA and STADIUM. but it was one of her great singles. and two albums that year.

yeah... besides.. H was already HEAVILY promoted during that time.. with the tours, with the CMs.. it had great promotion.. without PVs; it sold a million o.O

Thanks! I tend to block Stadium Tour '02 out of my mind because I dislike it so much and think of I am... as a '01 album. Yeah, that was probably her busiest year, though I still wish the brief HANABI clip used in a CM would have been an actual PV.

Probably because I'd want to buy all of those CDs and if I did, my family would be out on the streets by now.

I think avex didn't think triple A needs pv for further promotion. Look at A, it is 4A side, and neither of the song has a pv. In 2003 tho avex gotta do something to make sure ayu's popularity wouldn't decline (since A BALLADS didn't sell that well according to that time), so they gotta make more stuff to promote &.

I think at that time they made something like A: Since there were so many a-sides, they didn't want to create a PV for each. With &, avex started releasing PVs with every and each a-side in a single. I think it was more of a change of marketing strategy.

Welll........honestly.....I have a feeling that they just used her popularity at the point, and it was she was so popular, she didn't need any videos. On top of that there were various mini-clips to promote her single, Hanabi had one from a Tu-Ka commercial (cellphone). And Never Ever also had a small clip. All in all, I hope her Bests comes out with new videos! Who knows...probably not.

i dont think she 'chose' to make pv for hanabi episode 2 instead of hanabi. i think it was just the way it is.

ayu said she was not quite satisfied with Hanabi in the album
so she decided to make a episode II for it

i like 2 more then one...but wait...I like every song better that has a video..."the magic of picturs" XD...but I likethe emotion in II^^

Hanabi felt more emotional to me then Ep2....It's slow, relaxing and quite mournful....This, Moments,A Song for XX and Poker Face really drew me into Ayumi and got me into her other songs. Usually, if I only hear like one decent song for an artist, I don't bother with them afterwards....

not worse..but HANABI is better than ep II..come on..'better' is a better word than 'worse'
