Black Cherry seems to be doing very well. The sales of Secret are still following expectations and I believe that album might stabilize around 1000 sales weekly for a good while, like (m)u.

^Well it's because of the year split. Kobukuro is closing in on 2 million and ayaka on 1 million. (Kuu doesn't count since her album was released fully in 2007).

Did Japan like Ayu because it was trendy or because she meant something? Probably some of both. Remember when Ayu touched so many people with her lyrics. When I go to Japan this summer...I want to gain my own perception of the Japanese market.

When I re-evaluate why Ayu is important to me, many of the reasons are personal. There was a time when I thought there was nothing special about her. So I shouldn't be surprised when others don't like her as much as I do.

But yay, for Ayu, and an even bigger yay for Kuu! I'm happy that she's selling well, even if the album isn't as up to par for many of them songs, I still love it.

Hiru: I think that it was a mixture of both. Ayu most definitly at one time was just as Kuu is now, but she always had those die hard fans, and we are still here today.

So is do you guys think that since AB2 is coming out that her secret sales are slowing down?......Anyway, her sales aren't quite what I expected (I wanted her sales to be where Koda Kumi is..) and what's even worse is that Kumi released her album like 2 weeks after Ayu and her sales aren't even close to Kumi's!!!!!! Ummm, I really think that Avex is tryin' to make Koda Kumi the next Ayu.........

Well Ayu is doing really well. I think her sales will now stabilize and be 2-3x platinum albums, such as the case with Secret. Avex needs a new act to takeover, and it's just bound to happen.

Besides, Ayu still has the most Grand Prix wins (3 in a row!). Koda can't touch that, she lost this year.

I really wonder how A BEST 2 will sell.
