Least favorite live performances
Are there any live performances by Ayu that you wish you could take back?

I finally got around to listening to the live performances on the second CD of Next Level taken from "PREMIUM COUNTDOWN LIVE 2008-2009 A." At first I was excited to finally hear some of her earlier songs live, but once I did, I'd rather not have heard them live. It could have just been that particular performance where she wasn't at her best, so I'll rephrase the question.

Are there any particular live performances by Ayu that you feel were not executed to the best of her ability?

These CDL 08-09 songs weren't as great as I thought they'd be:
SCAR
SIGNAL
Hana
too late
POWDER SNOW
For My Dear...

Well, I can't think of any right off the bat, but I think Ayu tries hard with every song, just sometimes maybe not hard enough? :X For example, I didn't think that Because of You @ CDL ~Future Classics~ was as good as it could have been (TT_TT)

You do know she had broken her finger(s?) a week before and was heavily medicated at the time, right?

PCDL08-09 was executed rather well despite her injury at the time. It must have been hell to perform with that pain though.. ugh.

In fact, I think for two CDLs in a row, she had issues to deal with. CDL07-08 had her ear thing + lost friend, CDL08-09 had the broken fingers. CDL09-10 was the first one in a while where she didn't have something else pulling her down.

That made me laugh, because I think she tries her best in any given situation. She needs to lighten her schedule to give her voice a rest, but she likes to keep herself busy so...

Actually, no I didn't know. She could have taken a break, but she persisted and while I admire her for doing so, it doesn't change my mind about the songs. At least we know she's a fighter.

oh this is hard. ill have to think. her bad vocal performances like ASFXX/And Then in concert tour 2000 are a few of my favs soooo itll be hard to pick some i dont like. ill be back later lol

the Because of You during CDL09-10 would have been perfect if her vocal wasn't off, i never liked that song but after that performance i fell in love with it though

Basically all Mirrocle World TV performances in 2008. Maybe because I'm no fan of that song but I also think the performances of MW sound horrible.

Because she tries so hard in all the performances then I tend to like almost every performance she does. (The only ones I'm really thinking about are concerts, since I dont watch all TV lives)

For the songs that are not brilliant vocally it can't be helped, some singers have off days just like everyone else has off days, and thinking back to the last few years she's had things working against her. Things like th pointed out about the CDL; she just makes me admire her more for fighting against all the things that try to drag her down.

I don't think there's been a general concert performance I wasn't happy with. She could just be on stage in a simple pair of jeans, a t-shirt and the microphone stand and as long as she sings with emotion then I'll be happy.

At the moment no performance I watched comes to mind where I said "oh...well...that was disappointing...I was hoping for something else."

Erm, I agree, that she at least tries her hardest with each song, and I'm an Ayu lover who appreciates anything she does, and rarely "hates" her stuff.

But... *sigh* I have to admit that "teddy bear" from CDL '09-'10 (this was the Future Classics one, right?) wasn't her best. :/ It was nice to hear it again, seeing as how it was only performed twice, but maybe twice was enough.

Sorry to all lovers of this performance. >.<

You were.../evolution @ Best Artist 2009 really was quite bad; I just wouldn't re-watch it again, probably, but it's not something I can say was a real disaster; she tried her best, singers have bad vocal days and that's a sad fact.

I can't really say, there, right now, but yes You were.../evolution @ Best Artist 2009 was a total disaster ! I don't care if she was trying to be "cute" or dunno what, it was a disaster from start to end.

And the fact she apologized means a lot, either she got very bad feedbacks right after, either she realize how horrible it was ! Or maybe both ....
