Ayu...in the future?

This probably has been discussed before, but I'm just going to say it anyway.

Where will Ayu be in the future? I mean, I know she's super popular now, and really seems to last a really long time..And no, I am not saying Ayu is losing popularity. I still enjoy Ayu's music will all my heart, but sometimes I wonder, what's going to happen when she ends up quitting the music industry someday? Our popstar Ayu isn't going to be there forever, and we just have to accept that..

Thoughts?

Zeo

P.S: AGAIN SORRY IF THIS HAS BEEN DISCUSSED! *gomen*

I've tried imagining this before, but with such a person as Ayu, it's a bit hard to tell...hehe

Anyways, I see Ayu this year releasing far fewer items than she has last year (relying a bit on "Best of..." and compilation CDs/DVDs to maintain her popularity), but she'll still release the "standard" full album, about 3 or 4 singles, and a few remix albums, and her live performances will be a bit less (with Arena Tour taking up much of her time for a few months). Around the end of the year, I seem to imagine some big announcement (perhaps a marriage, or something greater) that'll change things completely. In 2005-2006, I think Ayu's popularity may start to decline (not majorly) as she continues releasing fewer items. After that, I'm not too sure, but I'm trying to base this on previous releases and how things are, so I could very well be quite wrong with this!

She doesn't have to quit, I mean Seiko Matsuda & Namie Amuro is still releasing material even though they're over their peak period.

Shes gotta end sometime.....and im happy with the music shes given to her fans already.....shes done more for us than any other artist i've listened to(sounds corny...but true)...she deserves a rest, maybe just a break or end her career. Anyway, i'll be happy with either decision she makes.

Even if we see Ayu possibly stop singing in the near future, she will still be involved in the music scene. She can either write music for other artists, compose music, or possibly become a producer. Who knows what the future holds for Ayu.

While we wouldn't want to see Ayu retiring anytime soon, 28 doesn't seem like such a bad year to retire. Of course, I don't think she'd totally disappear, but at least at 28, she's still quite young and can devote the rest of her youth to her future husband and even a kid or 2 if they decided on that

You guys are forgetting that Aikawa Nanase married and had a child. hitomi also married. Because of that both artists disappeared for a little while but hey Aikawa has come back for quite some time now and is going to release a new album and hitomi has gotten back to the scene released a new single "Hikari" and has already announced a new rock tune to come this April.
I can't understand why people say marrying and having childs is the end of a singer...I mean...geez it's a profession...Do actors finish their careers when they marry? Do physicians end their career when they marry? Do architets end up their career when they marry? Do policemen end their career when they marry? Geez.....Marriage and children is not the end when the person loves what he/she does. I might picture Ayu slowing down on releases but...quitting? As influential as she has been and then *pooF* no ayu anymore? onsense I would say.

Well what Impact said is so true. If Ayu is just really in love with what she's doing; making music and performing, hell she ain't gonna quit because she's having kids. It's not like she's gone all year because she's doing a world tour =_=.

I don't think Ayu will so quickly fade into obscurity. She seems like she's always interested in communicating with fans. Even when she's older, she'll be doing something either with music or writing to be able to communicate with her fans. I can see her becoming a Matsuda Seiko type where she'll be entertaining or maybe even continuing on with television or something. May be hard to picture now, but I don't think she'll completely disappear from the spotlight.

Though I could be totally wrong, this is my idea.
