Karaoke dilemma--BB or BF?

Hey all! I posted this in my own LJ, but then I thought 'Why not make good of the AHS community and ask what they think?'

[dilemma]Now I have both the karaoke versions of 'Beautiful Fighters' and 'Blue Bird' and I have no idea which song I want to do at Otakon, an anime convention in August, in the karaoke booth. I will also be cosplaying as Ayumi from the 'alterna' PV, so it seems very fitting to sing an Ayu song as well.

In a perfect world, I'd do both, but the wait to get a spot is long and butt-enlarging as I'd be sitting down waiting to have my number called. It's something I do every year, so I don't wanna pass this event up. I personally like the fun, empowering atmosphere of 'Beautiful Fighters' more, but 'Blue Bird has more actual time where I can sing instead of pausing for instrumental sections.[/dilemma]

Any input would be appreciated!

Sing BB just to do the "yukou yo..." part. I think it sounds funny when ayu does it...

i feel that singing BLUE BIRD gives me satisfaction. as in you can really enjoy it, imagining you are in a place like hawaii.. but Beautiful Fighters is just.. singing. the song is also not very difficult to sing.

Haha, alterna's difficult. It's one of those songs I can sing right only once in a hundred tries and in the most ideal conditionsXD

I'd say 'BLUE BIRD'.. It's better for karaoke.

I think it seems more audience friendly. Beautiful Fighters is kind of weird, and not everyone may like it, don't you think?

i prefer beautiful fighters more honestly...BB is kinda boring.

plus, anyone who doesn't understand japanese will at least hear a little english with beautiful fighters.

That's a very good point, and I agree. At this point, I'm pretty sure I'll do BF instead.

Actually, I believe it was two. But I was not concerned with majority...just whose opinions stuck out to me the most.

I also think you should have chosen BB, I think it is for a larger public, BF is kind special song for non JPOP listener.
It is the summer song ! In the other hand, your cosplay won't be good with BB lol

BF is kind of hard to sing (I just tried my hand at singing it last night at karaoke)...but if you practice a lot, you can get it down well

That's cool you're going to Otakon--I have a friend who goes there every year.
