Sexy little things' sabi/chorus melody copied from Ganbare Goemon?

So... there's a BGM in Ganbare Goemon (a video game) called "Let's Try The Next One! / Tsugi te miyou!" and the melody starting at around 47 seconds is basically the same as the one in Sexy little things. (From onna wa itsumo up until the kakko tsuke rareru portion)



I wonder if this was unintentional/subconscious? (Will previously kind of had something like this with the hira hira hira hira section and a BGM from Kiki's Delivery Service.)

It was brought up on 2ch and I thought it was interesting, haha.

Considering there are millions of songs in the world and only so many notes, some songs are bound to sound like each other whether intentional or not.

The similarity in that part is obvious, but I don't think it was intentional.

eithor or. . i was just listening to some 80s song and thought it sounded like SLT. SLT is one of those songs with that kind of chorus that is nostalgic to something classic.

It could also be some sort of "common" japanese melody that is often sampled for parody purporses. I mean...Ganbare Goemon IS a japanese culture parody game after all!

Hmm, it's just that one part that sounds similar, kinda reminds me of that one part in that old chinese song that kinda sounded like GREEN. There's some similarities, but not enough to say it was copied/plagiarism.

from what i know the rules is if the part that has the same melody is not more than 8 bar, we can't say that it's copying...
but i think this one is more than 8 bar...but nah...it's complicated about this copying thing...
