This also applies to "Perfume". It ought to be said that all of their performances are fully playback, albeit I don't want to start the playback discussion anew.

Maybe I am not young enough anymore to have acts like that meet my demands, but still I don't get the point in having singers come to your show that refuse to actually, well, sing and whose intention therefore solely lays in making an appearance on stage to promote upcoming musical releases

I can understand that because Perfume's whole act is being flawless/manufactured/robotic where as Kyary is just a wig and fake eyelashes with a recording contract.

I've heard the same be applied to a lot of singers, including Ayumi Haters gon' hate!

It's weird though if that's said about Ayu since she has had way more input towards the way things end up than some of these acts. Perfume is flawless and perfect (but they weren't always so 'manufactured looking' imo and they only recently pushed the "WE ARE GIRL ROBOTS KIND OF" recently), but I think a lot of that is their creative team behind that 'image'. It's very modern and incredibly sleek. I do not think that the reason for it is the three girls, but whoever they have making their PVs, choreographing the dances, designing the clothes for each girl, and so on. The music is incredibly catchy thanks to Yasutaka Nakata. The same goes for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, who I think without the addition/support of Yasutaka Nakata, would not be able to be as crazy!as!@(#@!wacko as she is in her image/videos and still remain appealing because being so "Oh, Japan! ONLY IN JAPAN CAN THIS GIRL FART RAINBOWS/HAS LIPS IN HER HAIR/IS WEARING TECHNICOLOR GRANNY PANTIES" can only grab people's attention for so long.

As for YUI, it's probably because she's going to 'indefinite hiatus' state and something like, last performance as "YUI" so her last stage is in this Kouhaku.

God, why there are 5 Johnny's there, which most likely will be the winner.

As for Ayu song, I believe it's gonna be Song 4 u, not because it's TOX2 song which last year she sang that first TOX song, but the theme really fits, and nice for an opening.

I love the artist line-up and I think it might be kirky-kind-of-interesting with Kyary attending. Oh well. I'll just have to wait and see. I'm happy to see Perfume, Ikimonogakari, and Porno Graffiti on the list. Oh and Golden Bomber - I'll be looking forward to their performance.

I'm pretty sure Ayu's going to put on another stellar performance no matter what song she chooses to sing. ~
