We can't live if living is without Ayu

Why do we love her so much?
What makes her so special as an artist, as a person?
What will become of us when she retires?

Sometimes I wonder that too. She's so amazing she can never go away because there's no one else to replace her.

i love her music, her lyrics
i think she's special to me is that she's so hardworking, she usually have 2 concerts per year, AT and CDL, and she's even more harder working cause she writes her own lyrics, while other people just wait for someone to write for them, so when i listen to ayu, whether it be happy or sad, i know that the words came from ayu
if the day that ayu does retire(i hope never, there's a 78 years old greek lady that just retired) i will be happy with her past songs, she also have so many remixes to keep me busy..for a long long time

Exactly the way I feel. Don't think she will go just yet, there's so much more to come. She is the reason I sometimes feel happier just to listen to her

i like her because i can see her putting the effort as a singer. Unlike many others. I see her sacrifice more than other singers and i admire that a lot.

i can LOOK UP TO HER.

she wouldn't retire soon but when she will her music will be classic for our hearts. If i would never now about Ayu i would be different person. Her music can't change my mood always, but it's influencing this. When i'm sad and listening to Ayu ballads i'm becouming extremly sad, when i'm happy and listening to her happy song - i want to fly. When i have "daily mood" i can choose what mood i and listen for some Ayu songs.
When it's "tsurai toki"(hard times)) Ayu's songs help me to be strong and i want to say ARIGATOU GOZAIMASHITA AYU!!!!!!!! Only thing i could do for her - buying her cds)
As for me we love her because her tenderness and sincerity in lyrics, in perfoming, in way she feel fans, etc.

I can't imagine her retiring. I think the only way she will is if, like she said, her other ear goes. Let's hope that doesn't happen anytime soon.

Anyway, about Ayu being young... according to many of my Japanese friends, Ayu is considered old now in Japan. Now whether that's in regards to her age or music, I don't know, but I had one tell me that 30 is the 60 in Japan. I find that hard to believe, because Hironobu Kagayama is almost 50, still singing, and he's a LEGEND in the anime/tokusatsu music world.

I don't think I can survive a day without listening to Ayu atleast once for support, for fun, for her voice and for her lyrics.....

Once, I had a REALLY bad day at school cause I got really bad marks on a test I had prepared so well for... and when I went home and listened to a few of Ayu's songs I felt sooo much better!!

I think...some people see Ayu as just another artist, some see her as just another artist who has great music, and then there are others who like her because they can relate, or are touched, etc, and then, there are even people who have a more personal side to it.

For example, one of my very best friends was at a very down time in his life, and discovering Ayu and her music and lyrics gave him strength in a way and actually quite helped him.

For me...I love music. Ayu gave me a way to express everything that I had felt into words and music together. I was, quite taken after that lol.

And because of that, even if she retires, she will never cease to be for me, what she has always been. It's very possible that I even respect her more now also as a person, instead of just an artist. Her conclusions to how she wants to live her life are very insightful and inspiring, and she has a wisdom that many people never find.

Retiring is such a sad word.. But we cannot hold the fact that that time will come...
Well, I guess when she retires, it's for her own good.. She needs real rest.
And when that time comes, surely, and definitely. I will still love and idolize her works...and her persona.

thank you for saying that.

If she does retire I would be happy for her a little nostalgic but happy. I mean she's worked so hard and made something for herself, she deserves it.. Everyone deserves to cater and live for themselves once in a while. I mean nothing can be forever after all.

Hmms, i love ayu very much and she's definately one VERY special artist..... Seriously, no one can replace her Jpop throne... She's such an inspiring artist....

Well, it isn't the exactly her music, looks or talents which makes her special... It's also her charismatic personal quality and her sincerity towards her fans and also to the world...
She has this "SOMETHING" which give her and edge over other singers.... What's this "SOMETHING"?? I guess all of us can't explain but i suppose all of you here could feel it....

I respect and love ayu alot.... I'm a fan since 1999 till present and i have never regreted it.... AWW!!! AYUMI I LOVE YOU!!

she's irreplaceable. of all singers in the whole entire world, i've never been so hardcore into any but her. she's the only star i actually keep up with and could never tire of. she's was never and will ever be "a phase" for me and i just don't think anyone can give what she's given me. she's the best, imo. she writes her own lyrics which are the greatest in my terms, and she the most beautiful and coolest. she's all around and just can do it all.

Don't you poeple see? The world is coming to end once Ayu retires. She is retiring on Dec 21 2012, and sense time as we know it cannot continue this will be the end.
