Why was Melrose banned?

Hi, I've noticed that Melrose was banned from the forum. Does anyone know why? Though he blurts out the most tactless comments sometimes, he actually has some interesting thoughts and views, especially in the News section.

bans are between the staff and the member. The only way you're gonna find out why he's banned is if you go and ask him...unless it was a very public thing.

But if I recall they gave an explanation for that DerrickRocks guy. That was way before I started posting on AHS but I remember finding an old thread about it.

Nevertheless, I don't think a public explanation is necessary in this case since its pretty obvious anyway.... All he ever did was try to piss people off and say some stupid or offensive comments.

That's because what he did sort of involved a lot of members and played on their emotions.

When we all found out what he did, you can only imagine how pissed off some of us were.

It was very public what he did, and in a case like that, I think...it was obvious to all the members and the staff said it because a lot of people were quite upset.


This situation is NO WHERE near to that one. I don't think the mods would give out a statement here, it's not needed.

@njanjayrp: I know. It's quite annoying actually. Especially when fights in threads stem around the same people and even follow them around...like...from the kuu thread to the utada thread. Just for an example.

I've been apart of other Forums where members who have lasted here somehow, would be gone in a matter of weeks with the number of "Unofficial" infarctions they've gotten here.

I never personally had any problems with Melrose and didn't realize he had been banned so I have nothing bad to say. It makes me sad to see someone trashed after they're gone. Like they just had no friends here or something. Feel kind of guilty I didn't even notice.

Yeah it kind of makes me really upset too! I know people had their own personal issues with him, but I would like to consider myself his friend on this forum... Unfortunately not close enough to get personal information. So if anyone knows how I can get in contact with him, let me know, please!

Yeah...some old members have stated that what flies now would never have been back in the day...the spamming, the people being stupid...times change I guess.

I didn't think Mel has ever done anything to get banned I believe there are others who annoy many of us as hell and still didn't get banned, so even though I don't know the reasons he got banned I think that he didn't deserve it at least not more than another few did. But yeah I guess no one needs to explain anything
