So I was browsing thePPN, and I saw that this was listed as an upcoming single. Now, I know that Wiki is not a reliable source, but has anyone heard anything about this or any new singles at all?

Yep, it's true. I saw it in an article on Oricon as well as Yahoo Music:

No tracklist yet, but the single has definitely been confirmed as titled "cocoon" and t be released on January 30th.

don't forget stand by me. though they're both really rock ballads, and not really orchestra ballads



EDIT: i take that back. stand by me isn't really a rock ballad, it's more acoustic orchestra...thingy...

Yeah, I think more of her slow songs/ballads are actually rock ballads. It'd be nice to hear her sing some actual ballads sometime.

cocoon is Tsuchiya Anna's seventh single as well as the new NTT DoCoMo CM theme song. It has been described as an energetic/upbeat song to sing at her rock festival appearances.
