I never had that experience before. But if I connect my iPod to speakers and place that in my pants, would that be considered a wierd place to play music?

I pretty much bring my iPod wherever I go, and we went to a electronics store in the mall. I went into the iPod accessories / electronics aisle, and put my iPod in the speakers, and turned Ourselves on full blast. I thought no one would hear, but...everyone was staring (like I care)...

...yeah...when it was over, everyone kept asking who the awesome chick was who was singing that Asian song. I told them it was Ayumi Hamasaki, of course!

I heared "MY STORY Classical" at my dentist some time ago ... it wasn
't really his kind of music but his daugther loved/loves ayu so he played the CD while she was in his practice ... it kinda fitted the atmosphere there ..

that's the only strange place I heared any of her music

Thas great advertisement! Her songs are so likable by nature that she can get a lot of fans like that in the US even though oriental music is not that popular.

When I was living with my friends in an off-campus house, we throw a lot of parties because our house/fraternity is known for throwing good parties. My friends absolutely dig "step YOU", its their favorite song from Ayu. So to make our playlist a little bit more unique for one party, they decided to put on step YOU! Also there were a few other asian tracks, a song by recent K-pop band Big Bang, and a few old school Korean songs.

It was only weird because of the reaction of our party guests. They felt it was kinda weird, yet ironically a vast majority of them are Asian

Err, Japan is the only place I've heard Ayu in public

Never heard anybody playing her in England... I went to the noodle place on Oxford Street the other day, they were playing j-pop, but nothing I recognised

ive heard some ayu stuff playing in a japanese candy store downtown...i guess thats not very weird.

although, i did find two official ayu dvds in a used game store downtown.
the guy had no idea what they were, so he sold them to me for $5! ^_^

and all the asian shops downtown have ayus face in weird places.
like in picture frames that are for sale, on cheap chop sticks and all sorts of weird crap like that.
theres a lot of aya matsuura going on down there as well....

I've heard Ayu's songs played in a supermarket (think it was GLITTER or evolution) and once i walked past a shop selling clothes and they were playing ANGEL'S Song . I didnt want to walk away . Bet i had that dreamy face while i stood there like a stone, singing along in my head . But i dont think this thats weird .
