Thanks for the link, that certainly helps. I wish I would have seen this thread before I bought all of the CDs I did. The pictures from the auctions I won didn't show everything so I'm hoping I get some first press things. *crosses fingers*

^girl, or are you a boy? If you don't mind me asking this, as I'm a little worried for you....

I think you are a new fan and is trying to collect some ayu's stuff, but you seem to be buying quite a lot of items in a short time... Is your budget okay?
And when you buy them, are you really sure you want them? Not just because they are first press and collector items.
I had seen new ayu fans buying too many items in a short time and end up regretting later, either they don't need it or they went to fast into ayu craze and the craze died down within a year.... I don't want you going too fast and regret your decision in time...(>_<)
especially if you are still a student, it's hard to save. When I was a new ayu fan, I just start by getting her albums. It was till 2005 when I start buying her singles. My collection is huge, but I spend 9 years getting them, that's why when I see new fans buying too much, I'm worried for their pockets!!!

i'm agree with you, genie.i am a good example.i was to rushed last time.i thought i'll satisfy and happy after i've finished collect all her albums.but now,i'm really regret to buy them in one shot.her stuff isn't really so limited edition ,as i still can see you can find them at ebay or some other auction sites which offer you a cheaper price than the time i bought it
As you can see,i'm selling my H digipak now because i don't need it anymore
I feel so regret to buy it

Hello! I don't mind you asking at all. I think it's actually a good thing to ask because you can't really tell anyone's gender here unless they state it or have a pic of themselves in their avatar or signature. I'm a girl. But anyways, I completely, 100% agree with you. I have been buying a lot in a short period of time and I've come to the realization that I REALLY do need to slow down. I even asked for someone to slap me on my wrists for buying so much not too long ago. When you get to the point where you're asking someone to punish you, that's when you know it's bad. I certainly don't want to burn myself out on Ayu in a short period of time or have any regrets so I'm really taking to heart what you're saying. And I would like to personally thank you so much for really taking the time to share your thoughts with me about my buying. Some people just need to be told no sometimes and this is one of those times for me so I'm really happy you said something. It makes me feel really good to know that someone cares enough about me to take the time to point all of this out and save me from having regrets and possibly being broke. I was in a bad financial situation last week fortunately, just about everything I was selling on eBay sold last night so I have money now. But I never want to end up in that situation again because my savings account was hit a little and I don't want to spend any of that. As far as what's supposed to be coming, I've decided that I'm going to take it slow as well. I'm going to listen to one CD at a time and stay focused on it for awhile before I listen to the others. Same with DVDs and other Ayu items. I really just want to enjoy everything.

That was a really good and thoughtful post, LacusClyne.

I didn't even think about that, I'm like Britnee and am really behind on her music too. I just wanna have everything now (though my wallet says that's completely impossible ). But I didn't even think about how that would affect my love for Ayu, I only have three of her albums now which I treasure but I forgot that a big part of the reason I treasure them so much is because it took so much time to get them:

My Story was the first I bought, secondhand off of ebay. I barely knew a thing about shopping for Japanese releases but I was lucky to get a JP press. RAINBOW was the second, I had a very limited budget and could only buy one Ayu album (and Buono's) so I carefully deliberated and decided on that one. RnRC is the third, which I found out about last minute and had to scrap up every cent I had just to get the Taiwanese press.

Getting her stuff will be easier now but I want to have those same sentimental attachments to every new Ayu thing I get. Like now, I've been thinking about getting the A Tour 2009 bag to hold her CD/DVD (which won't fit anywhere else -_-) but then realized I won't be able to fully appreciate it's function since I only have two.

So again, thanks for your thoughtfulness and I'll also take your advice to heart.

i'm glad that my words help both of you.

i don't want anyone going broke and end up in finacial problems....or not eating to save your pocket money to buy stuff. it's not worth it.

please think twice or thrice before buying. (^_^)

keep asking yourself, 'do i need this?', 'can i afford it?' and..... 'do i have a place to keep it?' (okie..the last question is more pointed towards me, i'm running out of place, so i have to keep reminding myself)
This way, you can plan your finance wisely.

I also agree with LacusClyne and thank you for the advice. Now that I just graduated from college and I'm still looking for work, I'm just depending on the money that my dad gives me every two weeks (Glad he's really kind to give me allowance). Still it's not enough to buy an ayu album so I have to think hard on which album should I buy and have to ask the 2 questions myself.
