For me the problem with XOXO is her voice during the chorus, this aside it's a nice dance track, and given I really like ayu's Movin' on without you, I deeply trust RedOne to make her a good dance track!

Apart from the atrocious pv, XOXO'S main problem was too much engrish. You'll think it's just only about girls just wanna have fun and dance forever, but the last Japanese line cries a bit of desperation. Like ayu knows it's self destructive but she needs it for the moment even if tmw brings regret. That little subtly is lost in the rest of the song because English isn't her forte.

It's unfortunate that her recent PVs can be that bad because a bad PV can really ruin a good song. Every time I'm listening to a song which has a PV I can't help but having images of the video in my mind.

^ You didn't like A ONE's PVs? Zutto... is super boring minus the final, but the others are great and don't ruin the songs at all imo, not like the Colours and LOVE again PVs mess.

Already discussed why XOXO sucks.

It's because there is no clear distinction between chorus and verse.

I mean, you know what the chorus is supposed to be, but it just kind of arrives out of nowhere, like "Oh, I guess this is the chorus." Where as, in most songs, there is a build up, you can feel the tension and anticipation rising, and the chorus kind of explodes, the mood of the songs shifts (usually heightened), and the tension is released. XOXO is just kind of one giant pink blur. It just doesn't deliver on the "excitement" level, and I expected RedOne to bring the party and a bit more energy (as his choruses are usually more of a BOOM and are great at making the listener anticipate that part of the song).

Oh sure they were quite good. I didn't mean to include them. Except WARNING's PV. The only one on A ONE (a lot of "on" going on...) made by "A Crew". Why am I not surprised...

Actually talking about RedOne as an individual is pretty confusing because it seems like in fact they are a team http://www.redoneprod.com/team-red/ with a looooot of different people who worked on differents songs, if you take Gaga's example, it says that Bad Romance and Alejandro were made by some guy whereas Judas was made by another guy. But yeah RedOne is supposed to be a moroccan composer so i'm reallllllly confused about that, i mean who actually makes the songs?

I think "RedOne" as we know him is Yohanne Simon and everyone else is kind of just also attached to the RedOne name as assistants. If you read the biography, he is referred to as one person. And the XOXO remix on the PlayAir is known as the RedOne "Yohanne Simon" remix.

A bad PV usually won't ruin a song for me at all. That happened to me for the first time with Feel the love though. Really bad PV that I can't help but think about when I listen to it.
