I always thought Teddy Bear was dedicated to Max and not her dad. I also think the same goes for Dearest. Anyway, like Evolution said, it's kind of ridiculous that she had such facilities to get a record deal when so many gals with an actual music career ( she wasn't involved in music back then as everyone knows here)have to struggle for years to get something so big. and after all, she said herself that she didn't realize she had a writing talent until she was in New York in her vocal lessons.
Anyway, you may be thinking i despise her for doing that... and i don't actually. Because i think that what she felt for Masato was real... just take a look at the songs i already mentioned. I firmly believe that what she felt for Max was something that she felt as love.You might not think it's true... but i do
anyway, i don't think it was bad what happened back then because thanks to that we have a beautiful woman singing with all her heart and writing intelligent, deep and reflective songs. (which is something to be thankful because we don't see that intelligence in the pop music industry so often

)
