They might have recorded a live studio recording and played it as back up vocal while Ayu was still singing it live.

Okay for people who did not understand chinese, here's what eason said in the video ayu_fan929 posted.

"To me, lipsynching is actually part of a performance. But Hong Kong has this perception that if you lipsyc, it tends to portray that you can't sing. But seriously, even Michael Jackson does it. Yesterday, I saw this part. She was dancing vigorously yet the voice quality standard heard at that moment of time does not seem possible to reach. It applies to everyone else. No matter how great you're singing, when you're dancing, it's not possible that you can mantain such flawless voice quality. But I do not think it's a problem (or rather, a big deal) to me. I just thought, eh? Ayumi does it too."

I think this is more accurate than the article (reporters rephrased it) since it's directly translated from what he said in the video though I do not guarantee you my translation is that good, I tried to make it close to what he had mentioned in chinese and hope you understand what I translated.

About the sleeping part, the video ayu_desu posted is in cantonese which I do not understand. But she kindly translated that he dozed off at certain parts due to couple of sleepless nights, and that it's his own fault, not ayu's fault.

Initially, I was really mad at him >_< But now, I kinda don't think he meant it in a harsh and bashful manner but was just stating what he thinks (which might not be right). I guess I really wanna watch the live myself to convince and confirm myself that ayu did not lip-sych. =)

maybe he should have used his small brain and think before he said anything rude about Ayu, he does sound polite when he said it but i so don't care how polite he was, he said it and he meant it, along with his party of losers.

She actually DID NOT lipsynch because I was there at the show too. Very obviously, during those so-called "massive dancing songs", ayu stuck in some part. That was not "flawless" at all, I heard quite a lot (...some) flaws. She can't breathe probably during until that day, just like something was stuck at her throat. During uh~la~la~la, she even went off-key (sorry to hear that), how can it be flawless???
