God....it was just one tiny thing she said....was it rude....no duh....but I don't think it deserves all the attention it got. Sometimes I wonder how people like Lady Gaga even become popular in Japan considering the things she does....

Anyway yeah, this is an old scandal anyway, I thought it was funny how ugly and unflashy her website became after the scandal. I don't get why it needed to be. LOL Her website in shame? XD

Scandal? LOL.
She just got careless and shouldn't have said anything if she wasn't 100% sure what she was talking about, which she obviously true in this case. It's no scandal though. Ridiculous.

it was a very rude/stupid thing to say. i thought it was pretty hilarious at the time it happened because she would talk in interviews about how she wanted to bring power/confidence to other women or some stuff like that. she apologized though, so i forgive her.

It was mean to say that and I don't get why you shouldn't be a mother when you're over 35. Nowadays it's a very common age to get children. Furthermore I think it's way better to get you're first child with 35 instead with 25. Because you had the chance to live your life and to really grow up. A second aspect would be that it has also something to do with emanzipation, women aren't most of their lifes at home and care only for their children, they can also do a job and after they got their first child they have a few years they worked and can go back into their job. But in the end everybody has to find a own way of living - and Kumi should respect that, too. |

When people vote, it counts as the thread being updated. People then post without looking at the dates because they think someone just posted in it.

lol people keep voting! this thread will never die. I'll make another post, cause I forgot what my last one says.
I don't get why it's such a big deal. It's common knowledge that you're more at risk getting pregnant over 35. Your amniotic fluid doesn't "rot" though ![]() Koda just...you know, she doesn't always think before she talks. She just, talks on whatever whims and feelings she has. I personally like that about her, but yeah, will always lead you to trouble sometime down the road. I know she's more careful now, but she's still rather forward with some of the things she says during interviews and stuff, and I'm like, 99% positive it's a contributing factor as to why she's not as popular with the general populace.

Every time I see this popping up here I just think "You can't be serious", because this happened THREE YEARS AGO. Someone should lock this so it stays forgotten lol.
And my fandom never died because of this, actually in 2008 my fandom just grew bigger and bigger because of Kingdom. I did feel sad for Kuu, and missed her so much during her suspension but I never stopped loving her. She apologized in TV for what she did and I always knew she'll do that. And she was truly sorry about it, too. I'm so happy she got over that because I know she didn't mean to hurt anyone. |

It was a ridculously stupid thing to say, yes, but it really wasn't a big deal. The Japanese just made it into one. She apologized didn't she? How you could suspend someone on such a basis? REALLY

Would you really care what some pop-star said about pregnancy if you were living your life as an individual? If you want to have children, why care about one person's statement? It's a person whom you aren't involved with in any way, and I doubt her fans were the ones who felt so terribly insulted. It may have been tacky, but I disagree with the reaction. "Women (of Japan) are sensitive" is a bit of a weak argument.

People, Kuu apologized this THREE times. First, she apologized on the TV, then she apologized avex in some award thing I don't remember and she also apologized her fans at the beginning of the first performance of Kingdom Tour. I think Japan already forgave her mistake. Why can't this thread just get locked or something? It's FOUR years old for heaven's sake. -___-
