Maybe she's not all that great at upbeat PVs, but I think she's fine when she sings upbeat songs.

This is upbeat the alan way. You just have to remember it's alan, who I'm pretty sure is more used to singing ballads, so this is really awesome for someone like that.

Not trying to be rude or anything, but what exactly do you mean by she's trying way too hard??? As in trying to be sexy or mainstream??? Because I see neither of which happening. I actually still see a strong alan influence in the song, if you get what I mean.
