That whole shoot wasn't bad though.. I don't think he's ever had a full photo shoot that was horrible like kazu has, that's just my opinion though.

Too true. I'm sorry to anyone who is pro-Kazuyoshi, but when you have THAT many misses with a gorgeous woman like Ayu, you have to be doing something wrong.

lol Kazuyoshi is a mistake in Ayu's career all right. How he managed to make Ayu look like the -thing- in Sunrise is just beyond my comprehension.

What happened with Sunrise:
They went to a pool in Bali. There were plants in the background, but they were BELOW the level of the pool.

They took a photo of Ayu in the pool and then took a photo of the plants separately and put them together... and voila...

every time i imagine the RnRC covers i see ayu in the outfit and background she was in during the "lollipop" PV. i don't know why. it's probably gonna be completely different and i'm gonna be totally surprised.

I think the fact that Kazu is not the photographer might make the covers crash even harder, since people are like "oh, it's ND and not Kazu, then it can't be bad". :/

People also build up images in their heads about what the covers are gonna be like, since the title is always out way before the covers. Like with GUILTY, a ton of people were like "oooo it's gonna be her in jail! she's gonna be chained, she's gonna be in a dark, grungy scene, it's gonna be dark and guilty". Out comes covers of her in a desert in a leopard dress and people are like "WHAT!!"

Same thing might happen with the Rock'n'Roll Circus covers, though I have hope from the deji pictures her clothes might at least say "rock'n'roll".

Actually, zoomzoom... I looked back at that thread recently and I saw that a lot of people actually LIKED the covers. HAHAHA.

I actually feel this way, but I think ND might be able to work his magic. I've seen his recent shoots and they're all stellar.

Most of her covers are nice as pictures, but have very little connection to what's actually on the album. One of the reasons why I really like RAINBOW and NEXT LEVEL covers, I can tell what the album is like just by looking at them. They just channel the feel.

I think that the GUILTY concept was meant to be magazine editorial-ish a la the photobook, haha. I wish she'd have done the covers in a studio, since that's where she shines most. With the casual outside photos (GUILTY, (miss)understood) we don't get the feeling of an album or a real concept, just "Look, Ayu is here and she's looking pretty" which isn't really what some people are looking for in an album cover.

I actually enjoyed her "Guilty" covers. I love looking at pictures that have humans interacting with nature and not being restricted to a studio.

Anyway, I've never been excited over an Ayu album in my life. This is the very first time for me actually. I've only recently began to accept Ayu and her music as a whole and I am quite pleased. Her music is not dreadful as others make it out to be. Personal taste varies I guess but I am fan of her work now. I don't know why but I have a hunch that this album will be epic.

I think a lot of people have that hunch too, but I feel as though that might be setting people up for possible future disappointment with expectations that are too high.... but judging from what she's shown us and what we've heard, it is gonna be goooooooooooooooooooooooooood.
