The CDL is the dark version of Rule/Sparkle which I really like but the light in the background is weird. I didn't really like CDL this year though, and after the crappy editing for the NL tour I'm not going to order any tours in advance.

It is kind of different. I think sometimes when we think of different, we think it in the extreme sense so we're expecting something far out there or something elaborate. If you look at Ayu's recent single covers, outside of the anniversary covers, they've all been rather lavish with her running around all over the world to do a cover shoot. S/S was in Bali, BLUE BIRD in guam, glitter/fated in Hong Kong. These covers are simple. As well as You were.../BALLAD, Only these covers have more variety in them than YW/B due to the different ranges upon which they were shot (mid, close, far).

I think that's why a lot of people don't like them (outside of her expressions and photoshop) is that there isn't much going on. But I kind of like that. Some of her best covers are the simple ones.

I actually think it's because Ayu said there would be a bit of a moon feel in one image, and a blooming flower image in another. I wonder what she meant by that, haha.

I suppose if you really stretch it, the blossom / MOON CD only cover with her full body shows more of the background which is kind of flowery in color and could be an interpretation of blooming flowers.

But that's a long stretch, lol. I'm still hoping for some other kind of explanation of it, as in the sleeve or the design of the CD itself or the plastic casing having some sort of imprint or whatever. Anything.

Yeah, I guess you could say that, but her exact words said that there were two different patterns/versions. (They use pattern for the cover jacket version usually, so a CD+DVD would be pattern A and CD only would be pattern B and so on.)

Maybe someone could ask her on Twitter? -mystery!-

I'd guess that they could use a different part of the shoot for the inner CD booklet which will probably have better photos than the covers, haha.

Something different for me would be along the lines of a Pink Floyd cover, for instance. It would be so AMAZING if ayu does that. But with all due respect, i think we all already know ayu. She tends to exaggerate a lot when it comes to describe the material she releases. (and it's understandable somehow) so expect nothing, in my humble opinion, it's the best choice. If she surprises us, that's awesome if not, she won't disappoint us.

My favourite cover is Blossom/Moon. she looks really sweet and cute. i didn't like CDL cover because of the photoshop (please don't kill me )
