I think she drinks occasionally, but she stopped for the most part early last year I think.

Ayu stopped drinking after that performance of evolution and you were... on Best Artist right? I remember that she apologized profusely after that and probably decided to do everything she can to preserve her voice.

On a TV show or something in 2006-ish though, I remember she talked about how she had a cold beer every night. Said there was nothing like a cold beer before going to sleep or something, lol

And I think it's 2005-6 ish because she had that awesome hair she had around that period, not the dark brown hair, but the one she had in the Born to be... video.

I don't think she stopped drinking after that performance, as I don't believe that had anything to do with why the performance was bad. Probably just a really bad day vocally.

She's been rather gung ho about preserving her voice, but it's especially so after the announcement of her deaf ear. The beer thing was in 2007 when she was on HEY!HEY!HEY! or something and she had a mini pink beer fridge that she drank a few cans from each night, I believe. And recently, she was on the same show when they reviewed all of those clips... I'd say around Rock'n'Roll Circus' release and she said she doesn't really drink alcohol anymore except maybe the occasional bit of wine? Something about a birthday and a glass of wine, haha. (Compared to before when she'd drink her age in glasses of alcohol? I remember people were surprised when they saw/heard it.)

LA fans are so lucky to get to see her for the second time... Why couldn't Mannie live closer to the East Coast so she could move here.... ;_;

Also, don't forget he spent a month wandering around Tokyo searching for Ayu. In LA he was tweeting them his hotel address and room number and even at one point his home address to Ayu. Psycho much?
