Angry Ayu bashed on TV

On japanese TV they're talking about some korean dude and Namie Amuro both donating like 70,000,000 yen to the stuff happening in Japan.. They state that Ayu 'only' donated 1,000,000 yen, even though she has the most money...

For starters, Ayu donated more that 1mil, and there are charity stuff coming up... and Ayu has been twittering non-stop, guiding people.. It pains me to hear people calling her selfish..

That's alright!

It's upsetting seeing Japanese media bashing artists like Ayu.
I wonder if they know bout the T-shirt or the Charity Live she may do.

Now what in the world is this? Is this quite an insult that Ayu is not donating as much as Namie Amuro, considering that Ayu has a LOT of money?

Even DREAMS COME TRUE donated more than Ayu's 1-million-yen donation, which is only $12,370.10 as of now!

Quote:
Donation from Japanese music group, “DREAMS COME TRUE”

ADRA Japan has received a JPY 5,000,000 (approximately 62,000 USD) donation from the famous artist group “DREAMS COME TRUE” for the sake of people affected by the giant earthquake on 11th March. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to their prompt and generous contribution.

We also received so many heartfelt donations from various people, which we feel very much grateful for. ADRA Japan shall make sure that all of received donations be effectively utilized for assistance to the affected people.

Oh... Maybe this may have been some false or "outdated" reports... How did Ayu donate 5 million yen? (And remember - the charity T-shirts and the possible charity concerts soon!!!)

^Justgiving.jp lists her as their leading donator with 5million yen.

To these media pundits and tabloids: Journalism. You're doing it wrong.

Ugh, these are getting ridiculous. I admire Ayu for not having to boast about how much she donated.

They're making that up. Celebrities aren't going to make a big fuss about how much they've donated....unless they're desperate for publicity such as some people --no names mentioned.

What the hell is with all the Ayu bashing? Is she the only one being so heavily criticized?

Wait... what? All that the major networks (NHK-G, TBS, Fuji TV, NTV, TV Asahi) have been airing are news and specials about the earthquake for days. I don't understand when they have had the time to speculate about Ayu and other celebrities. Unless it's on TV Tokyo channel, I heard they broadcast some regular program there.

^I thought this was coming from the tabloids, which from my experience with them in America are rarely true.
And I thought Ayumi was donating other things as well, like food, water, and clothing.. I pretty sure in a time like this people wante those three over money.

The Korean celebrity is probably Bae Yong Joon, the guy who was in Winter Sonata and started the whole Hallyu craze. He's very popular in Japan, that's probably why they mentioned him.

I think it's petty and stupid that people are even talking about this. "Who donated the most?" is not what matters. What matters is getting help for the people who need it the most along the eastern coast and elsewhere in Japan. :-/

Why is everyone so quick to start arguing over stupid things now?
Part of me still wants to correct the TV station for their mistake, though.
