I agree with the biggest part actually. I just think of the two "couples" as alternate versions of the same couple, emphasizing the ever-repeating nature of the relationship.
I was never that confused about the storyline - but then of course my interpretation may also be wrong.

In fact, the PV are shown backwards on the DVD :
1 - Love song
2 - Last angel
3 - Virgin Road

Mannie, in Love song, is dead. You can see it thanks to several hints (Ayu doesn't look at him, he doesn't "splash" when he steps in the puddle after the cab, he has no reflections in the shop window...).
I can't explain the storyline very clearly, but according to the lyrics, in Last angel PV, Ayu is the "other woman" (the one with who Mannie cheats on her girlfriend).
At the end, the couple in Virgin Road PV's clothes appears out of the rush around Ayu's corpse on the concrete, and Virgin Road begins. I think it's a sort of "other life" of the couple, in which they can live together (and marry).

It's confused I know, I still didn't get the whole story, and these are the main ideas I got from the trilogy.

a) It's a video trilogy
b) There is a direct connection between the end of Last Angel and Virgin Road through the re-use of the outfits.

Jacket glasses on sale for again... again after LOVE ones last month, but whoever copy pasted needs to fix it.

As for the connection, you'd only see it if you watched all of Last angel. Otherwise, the connection isn't there. If you cut that scene out, Love song and Last angel are pretty standalone.

True. But that's how connected music videos and short films almost always work, the connection is only truly established at either the beginning or the end(with less clear hints throughout, like in Love Song the couple is robbing a bank with guns -> reference to Bonnie & Clyde in the same way that Virgin Road is). Remember Microphone/Sexy Little Things?

I agree. I'm a little bummed that we're getting *another* trilogy series similar to Virgin Road/Love Song/Last Angel. Especially after hearing the previews for Wake me up and snowy kiss, I would've like to have seen separate PVs for them, instead of a continuation of You and Me.

Oh well. Hopefully the storyline will be well done.

watching the screencaps makes me think that the new PVs may be some alternative versions to You & Me, at least they have Ayu sitting on that (same?) wall, and they feature Maro. Just my thought

is a shame that some of theses new videos gonna have conection with "you and me".

i really love the trilogy videos and conection things...but y&m is an imperfected and bad video in so many ways that spend time on creating a longer story of it..is unnecessary

pd: maybe maron have something that none of her other male models have: "a hot body"
but personally..i think his face is weird and ugly...i now beauty is something very personal but every time i see his body its like "hot!" but when the camera show his Joker face expression its like "woo! scared!!"
