Aww that's kinda rubbish - I'm just awaiting my copy of Act 7.

I'll still look forward to Hyuna's solo releases but 4Minute were the first KPop act I got into. And of the KPop I listen to (which is not a lot, still a newbie), they were the ones I owned the most music of.

Were they really doing that badly sales-wise? Or is it do the fact that it's such a crowded market? It does look really hard to get yourself noticed in KPop if you're a boyband or girlgroup.

Theyve never really gained the same type of popularity as SNSD, 2ne1, sistar, f(x), but they got some popularity in the west through Hyuna, but then she got even better sale numbers as solo artist, so why continue with 4minute? ('A talk'(07/14) sold more than '4minute world'(03/14)

I've only gotten into 4Minute (and K-pop, in general) two months ago, so there was still so much more I've wanted to hear from the girls. It's very unfortunate that they are disbanding, even though I love Hyuna as a solo artist. I still wish I could have heard more fabulous songs & watched more fierce videos, from them. You'll be missed, 4M.

I don't think they disband because of their sales but rather the fact that the individual members want different sings from their lifes.

Goddammit, I didn't want 4minute to disband. They're one of the first groups I discovered when I was getting into the K-Pop craze in 2009-2010 and now they're disbanding? This isn't fair lol. But at least Hyuna continues her solo activities. She was my favorite member.

I read somewhere that Gayoon and Jihyun are looking into acting, Jiyoon will probably continue with singing and producing and Sohyun is still a cast member on some show.
Somehow I was kind of hoping the four of them would join a new agency together and continue with 4minute as a 4 member group

Hyuna was always the one they've been pushing the most, so the other girls were probably jealous? but they always looked so unified, this is looking insane

There could be anger from the other four that they were not offered any new contracts with CUBE, but Hyuna did, and accepted it. I'm guessing this pissed the others off, they were probably hoping she would say no in solidarity. But tbh, CUBE seems like one of the lesser evils in the KPOP business.

“If this was CUBE run by CEO Hong, a different outcome would have been reached..”. This is probably the answer.
Too bad that it has ended like this. Crazy and Act 7 are my fave from them and I was looking forward for a future comeback.

the company that owns 50% of Cube shares decided that 4minute were unprofitable to keep, so they only offered Hyuna a new contract, which she accepted.
the other girls unfollowed her on IG all in one day.

Cube is wrecked, its shares went down. they only have CLC and BEAST, BEAST used to be a big money-maker, yet their member left with a scandal, and they're going into the army? CLC has no sucess despite debuting 5 times already.

They are probably hoping Hyuna alone can bring them back. Her solos have outsold at least one 4minute album.

I don't like Hyuna's music a lot, I only like RED and Bubble Pop.

Cool Deep wsa the best effort so far. I think RED was the weakest. Overall her minis are pretty enjoyable despite the variety they offer. I think it heavily depends on the fact if one likes her as a person7singer/her voice or not. The music is good, well produced and strong.

A Talk and A Plus are really good. I'm glad that she's making a comeback this summer.
