Ayaka and Mizushima Hiro are expecting their second child

On April 26, actor Mizushima Hiro (35) and singer-songwriter Ayaka (31) announced that they are expecting their second child.

In a blog entry, Mizushima wrote, "I am happy that we will be gaining a new family member. I am very thankful. I will raise him or her carefully. We find out the sex soon. I am in charge of choosing the name, so I want to know already."

On the name, Mizushima expressed, "It's the first present you give your child when he or she enters the world. It's the name that will represent you for your whole life. I want to think about it carefully so he or she will like it."

Then on the baby's sex, he commented, "People ask me which I prefer, but I don't care as long as both mom and baby are healthy."

Ayaka also shared the happy news on Instagram, "I am due in fall. I hope to spend my days leisurely while praying that the baby is born without any problems." She revealed that she plans to continue her activities, "There will be times when I want to sing, so I will continue to work when possible until summer."

Mizushima Hiro & Ayaka welcome their second daughter

Actor Mizushima Hiro (35) and singer Ayaka (31) have welcomed their second daughter.

Mizushima, who blogs almost every day, updated his blog on October 19th for the first time in eight days, "I have a reason for taking a break from my blog. I think some readers have already noticed, but thanks to my hardworking wife, our baby was safely born." Similarly, Ayaka announced on Instagram, "I gave birth to my second child the other day."

Ayaka shared a photo of her newborn baby holding onto her thumb and expressed, "I am full of joy of finally being able to meet her as well as gratitude that she was born healthily. My body still hurts, but everyday I am cheered up by my precious baby. My eldest daughter, who has become a big sister, has become even more precious to me. While being grateful for this happiness, I will enjoy raising my children to the fullest."

Mizushima revealed, "A cute baby girl. It was a c-section, so it looks like it still hurts. But I am glad that my wife is healthy. Are newborn babies this cute? Everything is adorable. My eldest has been preparing to become a big sister everyday, so it was really amazing when they first met. She held her and didn't want to let go."

He continued, "I am sleep deprived everyday, but that's nothing compared to the pain my wife had to go through. I think my blog updates will become irregular for the next six months. I will prioritise my family more than ever until things settle down with the baby."

Mmm I don't know any of the songs that ayaka will cover in Yu-on Club ~2nd grade~ but at least it wouldn't be the same group of songs that have been over covered repeatedly :s

Japanese Cover albums got boring. I have the feeling they are always the same songs and artists and most of them are pretty boring to begin with.

They are boring for most of us, people who doesn't have their references. I absolutely love Nakajima Miyuki's "Ito" and I love Yumi Matsutoya compositions, but I only know for sure these two. I think a lot of these cover albums (not only japanese) have a nostalgia feeling that hits native people only.

Wow, a surprise for Ayaka's 32nd birthday! Have to wait for five months for the cover album to come out though, especially given that Ayaka's a mother of two. Want to make sure adequate time so it comes out good, hopefully.

Ayaka digitally released earth music&ecology CM song

Ayaka released a digital single titled "Michishirube" on March 4.

Ayaka wrote "Michishirube" as the CM song for fashion brand earth music&ecology, while she was pregnant with her second child.

On the song, she commented, "Depending on the place you are born, the scene that awaits in your future is completely different. I hope there is light in the place you return to... I hope this will be a light for our child... 'Michishirube' is a song that is filled with those feelings."

In related news, Ayaka will release her best-of album "Yu-on Club ~2nd grade~" on May 13. She will also hold a nationwide tour from May to August.
