The thing is, if he did go on news shows going, "I'm Ayumi Hamasaki father!" everyone would know he was doing it for either the fame or the money. He doesn't win in either situation since Ayumi probably has a grudge or maybe doesn't want to meet him again. He abandoned her for whatever reasons and it looks like it's staying that way.

well he obviously didn't have enough scruples to abandon her in the first place, why should he hesitate to say such a thing? it's kind of of curious is all...
