^that surprised me. I thought she would own the VMAs. but she didn't. I'm still stuck on the fact that Kelly won instead of Madonna or any of the others for that matter. But I didn't expect Christina to win since she released her single and album so close to the VMAs.

I love Madonna, but I've found the Confessions videos rather disappointing. Even though she lost to unimpressive (IMO) videos, she wasn't totally robbed because Hung Up isn't one of her best either.

What I'm trying to figure out is how Shakira's (and Wyclef's) "Hips Don't Lie" won "Best Choreography" over the Pussycat Dolls' "Buttons" yet she lost to them for "Best Dance Video". That makes no sense at all.

^Haha...I was just wondering about that.

The VMAs were okay. I'm glad AFI won an award: that was a great video. I was disappointed in Panic!'s performance. It was visually cool, but vocally it could have been better. It seemed like the lead singer was concentrating much more on making his voice expressive and dramatic than on annunciating and staying on key.

I watched the VMAs the other day.. The only performance that really stuck out to me was Christina's... that performance really moved me. I never noticed what an amazing live singer she really is.. especially with a ballad like that

Awwww, I like Jack Black ^_^. Just not hosting the VMAs. I wish Dave Chappelle would do it one year. I can only imagine how hilarious his skits would be.

Yeah, he can get pretty nasty when he wants to be. And you know how he is about having creative control (and I wouldn't have it any other way.) I guess we can only dream about it.

EDIT: I'm watching the repeat of the VMAs and I have come to the inclusion that 95% of the people there had either gotten drunk or high minutes before getting inside the building. EX. Jessica Simpson.

I'm not a fan of Jack Black, but I love Tenacious D! That friendship song was hilarious!

I loved Beyonce's performance. She sounded a LOT better than in the original song. Great performance! I think it's probably the performance the audience enjoyed the most...
I didn't like Shakira's. She danced so much, and so well, but she didn't sing much at all, and what she sang sounded mediocre.

?? Why would they? It's Cable not Regular Tv channels so I doubt it would be a problem.

Gwen Stefani should be there but she`s not. She`s recording new music and spending time with her family and friends and her husband and her kid. She said so on her official website. And we`ll see her there next year

Come to think of it, those two categories exclude each other. How can a Best Choreography video not be a Best Dance video?... Unless Choreography means synchronised dancing and Dance means freestyle dancing? [shake tat bootyy!... LOL.]

But if it is so, they messed up the winners XD
