Yay, she's actually going to promote this single on TV!

Is Sunrise the first song to ever have two tie-ins? I don't remember any past Ayu songs that had more than one tie-in (not including remixes). Also..are musico/music.jp good ways to promote songs??

^yea she'd better..
Sunset has two tie-ins?..i tot Sunrise?

and fairyland used to have FOUR tie-ins if Im not wrong...

anyway...the way I imagine Sunset to be in the first place was a light happy nostalgic summer ballad...and if you sing Sunrise's chorus in slow mo....you could get the same feeling like when you hear Days' "aitakute...aitakute"...u noe?

It's great that the chorus may have the same lyrical form...or even tune...and the verses are going to be different..heh...that is cooler than Yume no Uta/Futari de... (since this is a fast song -> slow song)

Im thinking Sunrise is really an opening...and Sunset will close the story

How many times do you see guys fawn over pop artists? The girls are always the more "dedicated" fans, probably the "better" fans who buy and support the artist more. That's probably the image these shows want. I'm being general here and I can speak for myself, but guys are more mellow, laid back. You probably wouldn't see Japanese males doing "fangirl" things when they see their artist live or something eg. screaming, crying, hysterical fits.

Somehow most of the Ayu fans I know are male

And she had songs featured on musico.jp CMs before (decision was the first one if I remember well) but it didn't really do much for the single.

^It's music.jp, without "o". I don't know if MUSICO is something else or the same just with a different name than music.jp though. *shrugs*

I think the Days thing has more merit...or Curtain Call or something...

you know, like the sappy love song lyrics...I'm not exactly sure what people are saying about the connection with Days...but thats the way I'd connect them if I had to...

... Have you ever heard of wota? Or Hello! Project? . If wota aren't the most dedicated J-pop fans, then I'm scared to see who on earth could surpass them.

Well as been said they blurrly said that people that liked Days will like Sunset or something like that.
Other than that it has nothing to do with Days. xD

uhmm many ayu songs are similar in the lyrics, but very different at the end. Hopefully Sunset is going to be awesomely beautiful, etc.

I dunno why but Days, Curtain call and even Sunrise sound a bit generic, in the way that they sound really like any other common j-pop singer's song, the ayu feeling is a bit lost for me... I'm not saying that they sound the same, but I can't find ayu in those songs somehow xD is like Maki Goto could sing those songs and it would be completely understandable. I hope I made my point clear. I hope Sunset is totally opposite (cross fingers)

i can't imagine anyone else, especially Maki Goto singing any of the songs you mentioned. they're all ayu-ish to me. they're just all her "style"

It all depends on the artist, but generally speaking I would say its more the opposite. The girls, no matter how big a fan they are, generally behave and act more cool. Hardcore male Japanese fans though? Its seriously hard to predict what they might do. (Everyone on music station is a hard core fan of some performing artist on the show since you have to be a fanclub member in order to get into the taping.)

Yeah, I still remember that crazy Kuu fan who wanted to kill her... it's a guy.

^ Or the Maki Goto fan who attempted to throw acid on Yamashita Tomohisa way back when, when it was rumored they were dating.

Actually, I've heard everything from Acid to just water to knives being involved in that incident. Bottom line, some crazy fan did something that scarred Yamapi for life.
