ELT has had some PHENOMENAL ballads, but not in a while - so i can see the #7 ranking

But for the males i would have put ORANGE RANGE at the top - they only really have that one ballad a year - but hana and kizuna were amazing songs ...

Wow she beat MISIA? Good for ayu! But I don't see how Ai Otsuka qualifies as a good ballad singer. Ken Hirai is definitely the king ~

Actually I expected Ai to score more since lately she's extremely popular among the Japanese audience.

On the contrary, i think stuff like "Planetarium" and "daisuki da yo" were really good!

I'm glad for ayu! she deserves it.

Yup, i dunno Ai very much, but she can do great cheesy songs and some incredibly touching ballads... (i d/l Shabondama with subtitles, what a sad song!!! )

I'm really happy for Ayu, she totally deserves the #1 spot!! ^^
