SHUN to leave EXILE

I just think those dancers are just so lame. I don't think it's fair for the singers who do all the work & still have to share the spotlight equally with the dancers.
also apparently one of the dancers is considired the 'leader' of the band , lol

I don't think it's ever a good idea to keep dancers as permanent members of the group.

I can...HIRO, MAKIDAI, USA, & MATSU. But that's 'cause I've liked EXILE for quite a long time, haha.

Halla, HIRO is considered the leader of the band because he's the one who found the band. Well, long story made short, EXILE originated as a band with the four dancers & one vocalist named SASA. The band was called J Soul Brothers back then, until SASA left to pursue a career as a composer (I know, it's not the first time someone dropped out on them ). That's when ATSUSHI (who was fresh out of placing 3rd, right behind the guys in CHEMISTRY, in an ASAYAN singing contest...I know, it's funny how things work out) & SHUN (who won another TV singing contest) were invited to join the group, & the group was renamed EXILE. So the dancers were actually the original members of the group, & have been together the longest. Hence if anyone were to drop out, it's probably gonna be the vocalists.
(I'm not offended by what you guys are saying, btw, just merely stating some facts...I too find the dancers useless at times But bluegie has a point, this is what makes the group stand out)

I just wonder if having the dancers as members contributed on to SHUN leaving. Isn't it weird that both the singers have soloprojects too ? I think Shun wants to do more rockish music rather than RnB , but Atsushi's COLOR is like EXILE lol.

if I'd be the singer I'd feel frustrated having the dancers around. even tho the two singers do everything they have to share all the interviews & CD/album covers with 4 dancers. probably PV's too , I haven't seen that many so I can't tell for sure.

btw some of the dancers from EXILE are also rappers on band called 'RATHER UNIQUE'. EXILE + all the soloprojects off it makes up for like half of Rhythm Zone's artist line-up lol

I agree with what you're saying Halla. But at the same time I wonder if the dancers believe they deserve more attention, since ATSUSHI & SHUN are the ones getting all the spotlight. Granted, I believe they deserve every bit of it, considering how much hardwork they give into their job. Not saying that the dancers don't work hard...I don't think it's fair to compare getting locked in a studio & sing into a microphone for days on end & dancing in a studio till you drop. But really, how can you blame the fans, when after all, SHUN & ATSUSHI are the only ones we hear when we listen to their music??

Hehe ya I know, the EXILES family has so many groups. That's 'cause HIRO was given his own managing company as a gift from avex due to EXILE's immense popularity. And I can't agree more, even though I'm not the biggest fan of SHUN's solo music, at least he's tried something different. COLOR, on the other hand, is just an EXILE rip-off.

On a more positive note...both SHUN's single & EXILE's album are #1 on Oricon today. Woohoo!!

judging from the samples the new single doesn't appear to be as good as 'Itsuka ...' or 'Sayonara itoshii hito yo...' in my opinion, but they're just samples so I guess we'll see.

wow you can remember their name! you must be a super EXILE fan LOL . hmmn I think Atsushi wasn't the 3rd place in the ASAYAN contest. He was in the camp with Kawabata and Douchin + 2 more guys... Then he got kicked out after that. Then the remaining people formed 3 duos (Kawabata+Douchin, Douchin+black guy, Kawabata+japanese guy). All of them produced the same song as a single.. and who got the highest ranking in oricon got the contract rite?? K+D won eventually (No. 8 on oricon), so they were signed and named as CHEMISTRY. I wonder what it would be it Atsushi wasn't kicked out and he won the competition... Would CHEMISTRY be a different story then..?

Does Shun love rock music btw?? I just have listened to his first solo single so far.. It's kinda like R&B and traditional japanese music to me...

Well thanks for clearing the ASAYAN history up bluegie!! And ya, I've also wondered if CHEMISTRY & EXILE would've turned out different if ATSUSHI ended up winning...

EDIT: And I just got "ASIA" in the mail...don't have time to watch the DVD today though, I got a big assignment due tomorrow. But I'll watch it tomorrow!!

Hehe yes, as of March 29, SHUN is no longer a member of EXILE. He'll be a solo artist under his real name Kiyokiba Shunsuke from now on.
