SHUN to leave EXILE

Man, who knew that my first post on EXILE would be one to announce that one of its lead vocalists, SHUN, will be leaving the band to focus on his solo career. I'm just shocked...SHUN has always been my favourite member & now that he's gone, I don't know if I'll listen to EXILE anymore...=\ But we shall see...right now I'm just...shocked, lol.
<sigh>

Check official statement on their site if you know Japanese...^^;

Aww too bad he couldn't do both at the same time. I don't mind really since I didn't listen to EXILE that much. However I did like a lot of Shun's solo works.

It's quite a shock... The reason I will listen to EXILE sometimes mainly due to Shun. I have a feeling that I'm not gonna listen to EXILE that much in the future. The two vocalists + four dancers team pattern is somewhat a chemistry. It'll be weird to see Atsushi singing the whole song while watching the others dancing. It's like... watching kumi or ayu singing and their dancers having fun...

I know, same here. Honestly, if ATSUSHI were the one who leaves, I wouldn't be as devastated. Not to say I don't like him, quite the opposite actually. But I just like SHUN that much more. =\

I'm wondering what the rest of the group members would do. I'm thinking they'll probably find another vocalist (a possible reality show?? Wait this is not America ), 'cause like bluegie said, it's just too weird to have only ATSUSHI sing. It was weird enough to have only 2 ppl sing while the other 4 dance.

I wish they'd rather ditch the dancers instead. I'm not into boybands , I'd like EXILE to be more serious like Chemistry. EXILE's songs are much much better than theirs tho.

SHUN is in my opinion the best male vocalist in jpop , better than Ken Hirai. I like his solo work too. Doesn't he have a new single to be released like day after tomorrow (29th) ?

If they ditch the dancers that's not EXILE. Although I agree that those dancers are quite useless in the group to me, they are one of the reasons making EXILE so unique. How often do you see boy band arranged like that??

Anyhoo... CHEMISTRY songs are really good compared to EXILE's one.. but only to the old ones. Lately I dun find any chemistry at all between kawabata and douchin. Their songs were good until the release of ONE X ONE. After that... sigh...

First Van now this, and Shun's my favorite next to Atsushi b/c they're both so hot to me, and I love their voices together. Oh well hopefully his solo work turns out good.

Me too, Me too....Shun was hawt...I loved it when EXILE were on Ayuready his laugh was cute. Anyways, it's not like he died. *Twitch.* Maybe I'll go away and re-think wether I like his solo music or not. XD

SweetS are splitting up, Van left DAI, Shun's leaving EXILE...meh. Kaori will leave ELT soon. >.> ... <.< ... now that would be devastating.

Lol, funny comments for some. I listen to EXILE because SHUN and ATSUSHI's voice match up so well and they really reach you with their songs. God, can't believe it... SHUN IS LEAVING! no! I wonder if i'll ever listen to EXILE again. SCREAM was such a nice song with Shun and Atsushi's voice in it. Actually, how is the band going to survive? Usually when a band splits, either both the soloist and the band just dies off or the soloist is sucessful, band sucks; vice versa.

*is pissed* I will definitely piss their wonderful ballads.

-Breaking up bands/groups is the latest trend in Japan. watch out!
-EXILE songs are by a long shot superior to CHEMISTRY's in my opinion
-SHUN does have one of the best japanese male vocals I know
-I'd rather one of those dancers left rather than the vocalists. What made EXILE was not any of those dancers. If one of them left they could just replace them for somebody else and no one would notice/miss the guy who left at all.

lol! yes miss... don't know why i typed piss! haha~
hm, I think everyone here would rather one of those dancers to leave than a vocalist.... I sound mean now but it's the truth. No offence but I always thought that those dancers were retards sometimes. *ahem* no offence.

You're not offending anyone at all LOL (except to the super EXILE fans). To be honest, the existence of those four dancers is to make EXILE a unique group from the others. In Japan there're lots of boy bands (SMAP, NEWS, KAT-TUN, ARASHI, WINDS etc), quite a few duo such as CHEMISTRY, CHAGE&ASIA, B'z (although one is a guitarist), KinKi Kids (they look like a boy band to me somehow), WaT, etc. If EXILE only had shun and atsushi in the beginning, I doubt they would be that successful today. Even so, they would eventually follow the same destiny that CHEMISTRY is going thru... So, to make them special, those four dancers are needed. Other than that.. yeah their dances are quite good but ayu's dancers are good as well (and also they're handsome compared to EXILE's dancers).

I'm curious, but who can remember those dancers name by heart???
