I think Kuu has the best chances of being the next queen... She's got everything going for her, personally i don't think there is anyone else who stands a chance of taking over the throne besides Kuu...

Who knows there may be some artist about to debut that will take over, so only time will tell. For know Kuu is the best candidate...

I really agree with most of you^^
At the moment I aslo can't see any candidate and I think the next JPop-Queen will just come in around 10 years.
I don't think any of the currently female artists will become a JPop-Queen.

Like NEWS, KAT-TUN and WaT, i'm only naming the new ones within this 2 years. this 3 groups are very sucessful. and not to forget those older ones, SMAP, Kinki kids, V6, Tokio, Arashi, w-inds, Tackey & Tsubasa....The industry is more of these boybands....
NEWS - we won't know if they're going to continue selling well, let alone survive as a band.

WaT - after looking at their 1st week sales from their latest single (64k), I wouldn't say they are getting bigger musically, maybe they are getting bigger through dramas and sucj.

TOKIO/TxT/V6 - never really strong selling groups to begin with

w-inds. - declining popularity.

Ayu will surely reign in the next few years. Kumi may sell well now but we cannot assume that the kumi can hold onto position she has now. (need to wait until the release of her next original album) Ai, mika and BoA does not have enough influence to take that position =X

^ I think BoA does but she wont ever be... It would be suicide for her, her Korean fans would turn their backs on her and stuff...

I didn't mention in my last post but I think Kuu has the best chances right now. Once her next original album sells well, the 'chance' might be 'reality'.

BoA imo, doesn't need to be 'Queen of Jpop' she's already known as the 'Pop Princess of Asia'...

Well, but I kinda doubt it a little though. Her music isn't really Pop.
It's trance. XD So Queen of Trance? & Angelic Nakedness?

But personally, I don't want Kuu to be the Queen of J-Pop. But I see that avex is planning to do that to her....coz I believe that everyone noticed Kumi's been converting herself little by little into somewhat pop-ish...
I want her to be Queen of J-R&B.

Kumi is big. And deserve the title Queen of J-R&B. But not J-Pop. She hasn't deserve that title and probably never.
Kuu-chan said it herself when she was interviewed during secret album release.
