The short ver. seemed too short to to really get into the story of it, it was more like the intro to the story. I want to see the whole PV!
![]() And yay for 3 performances! 'Shake Hip' seems to have a dark haired rock type look, nice! ![]() Been looking at the comments about 'Pink Spider' on Youtube. A lot of the hate is from Hide fans, to be honest. Like I said in my post previous to this, I can understand the dislike for Hide fans due to the meaning behind the original song for them (and that seems to be the reason from some of the comments), but I think people need to realize the difference between different versions of songs. Yes it is technically the same song, but Kuu's version is supposed to have an entirely different meaning to fit her version, and even though the sexualness of it may seem disrespectful, she chose the song as a tribute to him. I think Hide fans are getting pissed off about it because if she is singing the same lyrics, those lyrics were believed to be his suicide note, so it would almost seem to them that she is turning his suicide note into something sexual and meaningless, if that makes sense? While Kuu fans know she wouldn't have such meaningless lyrics nor make the original lyrics meaningless. I think when it comes to covers, people really need to de-attach and separate the different versions and realize that they are just that, different versions with separate meanings. The only thing that makes the song the 'same', is that the melody and the lyrics are the same. The meaning and intention behind each version is not the same as the other. That's why artists do covers, either as a tribute to the original song/singer, or to change the song into something that they can express or represent that another artist (or the original artist) couldn't. ![]() ![]() That's just how I see it anyway.

^I agree. Kuu only uses it every now and then, and given this is a heavy electronic track it kinda works with it, although it is dripping with it.
![]() I quite liked her expression when she got ***** slapped, it was kinda like she was saying "Oh you hit me again" with the kinda pouty face like it happens all the time, which wouldn't surprise me given the story background. Also she smiled when he yanked on her necklace, so it seems like she's used to the abuse. XD

Can we get an autotune-less version? :/
Not really feeling this song... or this PV... I also could live without that scenes on the pink scenario, cute Kuu is not working for me these days .-.

Unimpressed. I expected something better after all of the great teaser images and how it seemed to be a big production. Seems cheap. The motorcycle scenes are a joke.

I swear. She makes things specifically tailored for me.
I will also be purchasing one of those gold cages...but probably one with a little more leg room cause it would be horrible standing in there for hours... Oh about the production...yeah. I'm kinda surprised, but meh. She looks good. I like the song. I think the autotune fits.

The song sounds ok. I don't get why everyone is whining about the auto-tune. It fits perfectly with the style/production/theme of the song...

I think this is pretty Golden Era Koda Kumi. I think it would have benefitted from less auto-tune, but can't change it now.
Auto-tune, for me, always gives me the illusion that the artist can't sing. Kuu -can- sing, and so an entire song in auto-tune is just...unnecessary. Using it here and there isn't bad, but a full song is just, I don't know... not worth it for an artist that can sing well.

I also think the autotune makes the song. and that PV is one of the hottest ever!
tho I think it's the short ver. of the album ver.; and the UULA ver. will be the story ver. lol |

Since we know Ku can sing, then why is autotune a huge deal? It's there for an added effect. Honestly, autotune can really help create the atmosphere for a song. It's not always there to hide flaws.
I myself have always been a fan of the autotune sound. Take a listen to this DJ Amaya remix. This was back when I didn't know the term for that effect on the vocals was "autotune", but I always thought his mixes with this effect gave off a much better atmosphere to the song: Vocals @ 1:48 I also loved his remix for "Hana" with the autotune effect. |

I didn't say it was a big deal, I just think it could have benefitted from using it less. I don't dislike the song because of it, I just think it's unneeded. I think auto-tune can be a great addition to a song, but personally, songs done entirely/majority in auto-tune leave me wishing for less.
Some people think the opposite. And that's fine.

i don't get the "omg heavy autotune" as well...
like Zeke said, we all know she can sing! and it's not like she's Keesha using it nonstop! for this type of music it fits and i'm just happy that she's doing this genre right now, the song is awesome, the PV short version looks really nice and yeah in almost 2 weekx we bop to this in HQ! and what the hell i want tour news, goodies, promo pix, title, whateverrrrrrr, fjdilsdfjlfi i bet we get something 1 month before the start! so around feb 15th-20th...

I'm semi surprised by how ****** the PV looks since I kinda like Ninagawa's work usually.
the song's good for me, though I don't like hide's original (RIP dude), despite how much meaning to his fans is this song |
