Most likely Yoyogi will be used for the DVD, it's just safer than using an overseas destination.

It probably won't be released until next year though, like AT07. a-nation '08 dvd has been announced for late November, we probably would have heard something about AT08 too. And you can see the usual "making of" guy is walking around in Hong Kong with ayu, so they need to edit overseas footage before we see any DVD.

I noticed that and I was quite surprised too. I wish it means she would be working for Kose but it's probably wishful thinking.

They were? That's kinda weird. The sponsors she has tend to be places that she endorses.. like Wacoal and such. I remember Mazda last year, but that's about it..

But since it's kinda definite that they are gonna use the last concert in Yoyogi for the DVD, they already had 3 months to prep the DVD. So if they had 80% of the DVD focused on Japan concerts and the rest are overseas concert, the final 20% may be done like in 2 months?

So PERHAPS we could get it next yr January. Thats the most positive speculation lol

It's probable that this DVD will take MUCH longer than we think it will. In the best case scenario, they can get it done in 3 months, which would make for a February 2009 release, but seeing as how Ayu's DVD staff takes 10 years to do stuff because there's like 3040234032 hours of footage... we could be looking at a release that will come out DURING / AFTER the next tour ends...

They always try to make Ayu look & sound as best as possible, so yea shes been looking better lately cuz of the weight loss, and if they catch on, they will try to incorporate a lot of the footage. They also try to make a concert DVD look like an actual concert, even though a lot of the times it is the best footaged performances collaborated into one. So it will be a lot of extra time sorting out footage. So truehappiness's prediction that it will come out during or after the next Asia tour is likely...

Which is really bad for me especially since I haven't checked out any clips yet on AT08. Dun want the same thing to happen to me for ASIA TOUR 2007

Well, they currently have two situations to deal with, with a tour that extends to Asia.

1) Because of the Asia legs, the DVD gets released super late, usually at the next year, which results in pathetic sales (compare CDL 07-08 to AT 07)

2) Because the DVD happens to be the performance of the last show in Japan, the Asia legs don't exactly get 'featured' in the DVD... except for the parts when they interview random people and all that. And you don't get to see any of the changes made (like, is this LOVE --- A Song For XX) or anything... Which makes the Asia Leg pretty pointless, in terms of viewing on DVD.

The solutions that I can think of now are:

1) Release the DVD earlier, i.e. at the same time that the DVDs for AT 05 and 06 were released. Of course, that will be the DVD for the Japan leg.

2) Release another DVD, consisting of the footage of the Asian leg, at a later time, say the next year, or ASAP. This way, we can actually see her performance in the Asia legs, and also the changes (at least for this year's tour).

Also, since there are two DVD releases, they could be at the usual 3DVD set as well!

i wun rule out this possibility (since this was what happened last year). But i just thought they waited for approx. 3 months to tour overseas, they might as well start compiling footages of Japan legs in July which anyway consists of the bulk of the DVD.

I think they might try to do a 4 or 5 DVD release seeing as how this is an Ayu anniversary..

So perhaps ASIA TOUR 2008 DVD-BOX would be a 3 DVD-case box..

DVD case #1 - ASIA TOUR 2008 Yoyogi on 1st DVD + ENCORE on 2nd DVD
DVD case #2 - ASIA TOUR 2008 Taiwan on 1st DVD + ENCORE on 2nd DVD
DVD case #3 - all MCs, extras, etc.

^ of cos thats the best. But i wun think that far judging from how the DVD of AT2007 turned out.

I mean, they can compress 150 days of footage into 2 DVDs, what else they cant do? this year's asia tour is no different from last yr, except more concerts and more extravagant, which has no link with what is gonna be in the dvd.

Long before the concert came out on DVD, someone wrote in his blog about the AT07 concert he attended. That is where I accidentally stumbled upon the kiss o'kill performance. When I finally saw it, there was no surprise factor, I was expecting it because I knew what was happening

I tried to stay away from AT07 stuff, but also somehow got the kiss o' kill performance spoiled. I haven't read any of the descriptions of AT08 or watched any videos, just seen pics. I hate getting spoiled on the surprises.

One would think they already prepped the yoyogi footage, but seeing how long they usually take, I wouldn't count on it. I have no idea where all the time it took them to do AT07 went...
