Don´t missundertand me, I LOVE when ayu sings in live, but some songs like (don´t) leave alone or My name´s Women MUST be with lip-synched to have an AWESOME show like just ayu can give us. I prefer a beautiful show than be worried about if ayu is singing live or not.

i dont think she lip-synched in AT 05 and 06. It doesnt sound like it at all!

for AT 07, i can guarantee u that ayu didnt lip-synched (at least not for the concert in HK). Cos she forgot 2 lines in AUDIENCE and nothing came out.. SO it's obvious that she didn't lup-synched..

for CDL0708, i am pretty sure she lip-synched STEP you.. not sure for evolution.

I don't think she did it with these songs, it seems they just were overly editted in the DVD version. I think that she playbacked 1LOVE in this show.
And another time was evolution in BEST of CDL 06~07, she dances, spins round and round, jumps, and her voice stays the same haha

For the most part, we've only seen DVD video of one concert for most shows..

People who actually went to see the shows tell us otherwise, and imo, their opinions >>>>>>> the people's opinions on the DVD.

Even though we have video, how do you know for sure? Did you see her singing for real during each of those tours? Just because it looks lipsynched on the DVD doesn't mean that she did that for the entire tour.

Ah Im getting tierd of this discussion about her lip-syncing.
1. Its not a great deal if she did for some songs.
2. Lip-syncings is not the same as having a back-up-voice in the bakground.
3. I was on CDL 07-08 and from what I heard she didnt really lip-sync because it wasnt really perfect the whole songs trough.
4. I agree with truehappiness that I belive in more of the ppl who was there live and ehat they say then them who saw the dvd.
5. You cant decide if she lip-synced only by seeing on the dvd because avex put alot work in editing and they fix her voice some to make it sound better.

i've heard so many ppl said to me that Ayu DID lip sync in all songs after they finished watching the DVD concerts.. and i told them.. that it's because they're watching DVD~ that's why they found it like she did lip sync~~

This is what people should do (imo):

1) If they are curious whether ayu lip-synched, just open their eyes/ears big enough

2) Believe what they believe. which is whether ayu lip-synched or not.

3) Shut up.

You should know that a real LIVE and an edited DVD are not the same...
Example: the different CDL's. Every year the show is broadcasted Live and I always hear ayu singing live ( except maybe Step You one time , i'm not sure) and i'm quite dissapointed by some songs because on the certain non-accuracy of notes, as a musician I can't ignore that fact even for My Ayu. On the other hand she tries not to do playback and we have to be proud.
When Avex is editing a DVD , the DVD has to be perfect to the viewers. They correct the sound by putting CD voice( not so often), or by using a program of automatic replacing of the voice. It doesn't mean that Ayu did playback ( lip sync as you all say) during the live. It's why we always enjoy more the DVD of a countdown live and not the Tv show.
I don't agree with Game and My Name's is Woman from AT 05. It was my favourite live and there is no playback. I know the CD versions by heart and it was different for every songs!

i have good ears. listen to "ano" in AT 07.. ayu pronounced it as "an-no".

but in the mp3 of M, it's "a-no".

just one difference, we can conclude that ayu didnt lip-synched in M.

by the way, i noticed this because i always sing along with ayu in the choruses of M..

Didn't ayu do different ad-libbings in CDL's 07-08 STEP you from AT 2006?

Anyway people that were in this concert said here she didn't lip-sync evolution and STEP you, as they saw it and heard it themselves there so I can't question them even if they were the best vocals performance

I think she did. Even if she didn't, the performance (in terms of vocals) weren't the same, as far as I can remember from the AT2006 ^^'

Haha, I can't believe that we're getting so side-tracked. This is meant to be a thread about Ayu's latest tour, not a Lip-synching debate. I'm sure everyone has their own opinion.

For me I've never been to any of Ayu's concert, so I can only judge from watching DVDs. I'm watching the AUDIENCE performance in Arena Tour 06 ~miss~ understood, and you can hear her voice being jumpy went she's skipping along towards her fans. I do feel that back-vocal is out in the background (like with a lot of singers' performances). I think that Ayu does sing live, but for more active songs such as 1 LOVE, ANGEL'S SONG, STEP you etc, the back-vocal is put on louder to make it sound better.

If it's so easy to lip-synch, why wasn't it done in countdown live 2002-03 when Ayu lost her voice, hmm?

Anyway, I am very sorry for being a hypocrite and gone on to talk about the lipsynching debate again. Regarding the concert, does anyone know how many shows are left? Ayu usually announces a new single towards the end show and performs it then.

I'm really excited to see that she performed "Far away" in her tour! It's been eight years since she sang that! (That's making me hope that "no more words" will be performed. That one has been in hiding for only six years. ^^)

And I think there's time for her to prepare.. As they are more simple, there is no need to put a lot of effort in creating elaborate coreographies, or stage effects.. Let's wait & see! But I really hope she finds time on creating one ;_;
