Anything country. Staind and Coldplay should give it up too, they are absolutely boring. And any of this trendy rock crap like The Strokes, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Fall Out Boy, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Panic At the Disco, etc. etc. should go away too.

Try living in the southern United States where that crap is basically crammed down you ear canal every time you turn around. Believe me, you will grow to hate country in all forms of it. I can't even stand southern rock.

I can imagine that's horrible, but in spite of my disliking of country I can't help but love some alt. country bands, most notably Iron & Wine.

None. What these people do doesn't hurt me so it is none of my business. If I don't like a certain entertainer I just avoid their music.

Exactly. The artists I don't like or that I'm not really interested into, I just ignore and forget them. Let them work, sing, perform, copy and lip-synch as much as they want, I could care less. Imo wishing for someone to quit means that you "care" for that person (whether in a good or bad way doesn't matter but it means you've got that artist on your thoughts and that you waste your emotions on them).

i agree with you, but i guess i'm not mature enough to ignore them, hahaha! most of the time i do, but certain artists are just over exposed and you get sort of annoyed at constantly hearing them or seeing them. and other artists, i don't know why, but their very presence irks me. and i suppose that does mean i have some sort of emotion invested on them, but ah well, i have plenty of emotions to go around!

LOL Yep some artists are way annoying...but I probably just have amnesia and forget them (I really do have a "short" long memory )

Well now that I think of it...there's one type of people I don't really like to see producing music: I mean those who make songs encouraging racism, xenophobia, homophobia, violence against animals, etc Also, there's this artist in my country who drove while he was drunk and hit and run and killed a person, but was judged innocent after the media used so much of their influence to prove he was just a victim...bizarre, I know. Rather than wishing such people should quit I just wish they should be arrested LOL

-Bowling for Soup (and those other punk band or whatever. The lyrics are so stupid, especially that song "Almost"...)
-Madonna
-Backstreet Boys
-U2
-Guns N' Roses (GnR fell apart after Slash left anyways)
-Metallica (should have stopped after early 90s)

Most of the artists I've listed have been around for 15+ years... acts such as Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan I don't really worry about since I doubt they'll last. But there are some artists who had their glory days but should really just retire >.>

They aren't the be-all and end-all of this country, it's a shame people can't see that.

U2 is just a good band that keeps getting hyped by everyone, but that's not their fault. Their music's just good, imo.

It's a lot worse here though, they're hyped up as the only good thing our country has ever produced, and I mean anything, not just music. They are treated like gods here, when they're just talented humans. It's just gotten so out of control at this point, and I would like it to stop.

I can imagine that being the case where you're from indeed - and I can definitely imagine that being annoying. And indeed, the neverending praise can be terribly annoying. There's more good music out there. =D

Yeah, it is annoying. It's gotten to the point where not even our tabloids will print anything really negative about them, and usually tabloids print negative stuff about everybody. It becomes out of control when it gets to that point.

I just wish they'd stop winning at the Grammys because there are more bands that exist on the planet than U2. =/ Their music isn't that great that they should be winning so much every year.

T.M. Revolution. Needs. To. Stop.

I also wish Li'l Jon and Darkchild would stop ruining people's music with their stupid trademark watermarks all over the songs they touch. It makes me wish the artists would stop, when it's really their producers.

I wouldn't mind if J-Lo ended, either.
