Well, I have some friend who are into Japanese music, but not totally into it, like I am! I try to burn them CDs with alot of Ayu's songs on there, especially Dearest, cuz my friends are totally crazy about InuYasha (sorry if I spelt that wrong!!)

My mother is a different story. I was listening to Ayu one day, and she was like 'WTF? Why are you listening to Korean music?' and I'm like 'Mother, please. It's Japanese.', and she was like 'Why don't you listen to Chinese music, it's much better you know.' (I guess cuz we're Cantonese, she thinks I need to listen to Cantonese music, too)

And another time, I showed my mother a picture of Ayu, and I was like 'Mama, I wanna be skinny like her', and she was like 'That's crazy. How much does she weigh?', and I was like '88 pounds', and she was like 'That's crazy, you're crazy, she's crazy. Why are you listening to this crazy woman's music?', and I was like 'Mother, please, shut up'

alot of jpop artists get these....

especially in countries athat are westernized... they don't understand the language they dont even understand the style.. they cant mro elieklly relate to jpop music because they are more popular with the western music than jpop culture music.. so we habe to accept the fact that some people we cannot force to listen to our music if they dont want to... but it's happy if they foudn out that the music is great ^^

my dad told me recently.. that SweetS looked cheap.... grrrr.... and lots of other jpop artists also get offended by those people who are mroe open to western music... fu~ im so sad about it..

well, but there's a chance that some will end up disliking ayu. i had a friend who likes ayu music, but she totally hate that song. she was always complaing about that 'rotten, corny trash'. those are her words.
