Has anyone else been here? They're not the best forums in the world...i dunno...im there and all these people are like bad-mouthing her songs...like there's this one thread that asks "Are you dissapointed with Ayu's music because shes using more rock influence." I know people have the right to their opinion...but sometimes i get the feeling that these people are only listening to her because she's japanese and i guess its "cool"...and everyone seems to not like alterna very much...saying it was awful and bad ...i feel like they know nothing of lyrics and composition....maybe im just being mean...

No, I pretty much agree with you. Which is why I try to avoid reading other general J-Pop forums because usually a lot of Ayu bad mouthing goes on. This is usually done by people who have never given her music a fair chance, much less actually took the time to read what her songs are about.

I agree with you also. Actually there's a lot of other JPOP forums around the net that bad mouths Ayu...and everytime I'm just like "URGH!" because they don't even know what the song is about (I think the lyrics are also very important in a song) and they are saying that it's bad. Maybe I was overreacting a bit because I was just trying to be an Ayu fan who dislike people bad mouthing Ayu when they don't even really try to get to know her and her songs..

It's one thing to "bad-mouth" ayu after judging her and seeing her as a "horrible" artist or whatever, but it's another thing when these little "omg jpop iz da kewlest!!11!" bad-mouth her because GASP (!) she's famous.

I believe they liken her to that of an asian Britney Spears...no substance, all pop, bad voice...but I feel sorry for those noobs (or ignorant) people, because they just don't "get it" about ayu! It's a rare combination with ayu to have someone who is great at lyric writing, composing, and singing from the bottom of her heart...They have no idea what they're talking about when they judge ayu like that...and all I can say is just...too bad for them.

well that forum wasn't created by Ayu fans, or am I mistaken? i thought it was made by the staffs at J-fan...but if it wasn't created by Ayu fans, then not all of those people that post there like Ayu...

Do you ever stop by the Gackt forums? They're just as ridiculous for different reasons (OMG!!11!1!! Gackt is sooooooooo hot and soooooooo sexy and I want to eat him but Mana is a meany and blablabla like a horny little high-school girl about nothing in particular for pages and pages and pages..........then - Do you say it GACKT or GAKUTO? Because I'm trying to be really Japanese like and I want to say GAKUTO but my friend said this and blablalblablablablablablalblablablablabla Did you see how hot Gackt was in Moon Child? OMG!!!!!111!!!1 He is soooo sexy................etc etc etc...).

Actually...there's really not enough activity in the Ayu forums to say that those people are always bad-mouthing Ayu. A lot of people in the general forums seem to quite like her, but the people who bother to post in the Ayu forums are very critical, but not brutish or destructive to her.
I actually like some of the discussion going on in the 'Are you disappointed?' thread.
Interesting to hear what others have to say (even if they can't really decide which songs are considered rock....hehee)

yeah i know! many ppl think she's just too famous and overrated that's why they bad mouth about her

in other general jpop forums i've been to, so many ppl say mean things about Ayu but they don't know how hard Ayu worked, they only judge by her image and rumours they hear, they don't bother looking deep enough, which makes me sad

i also didnt think Ayu was very good b4 i became a big fan...
