Good luck with that. I'm from the Boston area and there's next to nothing there in terms of J-Pop. The most I've seen would be in Chinatown, where they have some bootleg Ayu, Hikki, and BoA CDs. But that's about it. The only other place I know is this one anime store that sells those bootleg J-Pop CDs manufactured by Miya and Alion Records. I, however, am strongly against that store for doing that and DO NOT recommend shopping there. Chinatown is basically only bootlegs, and they don't try to hide it, so that doesn't really bother me, haha

Tokyo Kid near Harvard Square sells legit Ayu CDs and they have some posters, too.

That was the store I was talking about. It's definitely not legit though. Everything they sell is a bootleg, with VER few exceptions. The only things I've ever seen there that were legit were Ayu's Countdown Live 00-01 for a whopping $65 and Hitomi Shimatani's Delicious for $30. You can tell if something there is legit because it's usually very steep in price. I really don't recommend going there unless you care to pay $15 for a bootleg that doesn't support Ayu or any of the other artists that you like.

I couldn't remember if everything in there was legit or not...it's been so long since I've been in there. But they do have some non-bootleg j-pop for big bucks. You're better off buying from online.
And Sasuga Books used to have their "warehouse" open to the public in Waltham (?), but I think it's no longer public. They were way overpriced anyway... |

You're totally right. I went there once before it closed and I'd like to go back sometime. Even if it is overpriced, it was still legit.

Yeah. I went once...it was a month or two after MY STORY was released, because I remember they had a deal that you could get all 4 cover versions of MY STORY for, like, $215. I passed, needless to say.
