When does the Oricon update it's charts? It's 11:05 AM in Japan right now March 2nd, and I want the March 1st charts up!!! Raaaaaaah! Does anyone know? Is it like at the end of the day, or maybe afternoon?

now oricon has officially been messing up our minds... LOL. Everyone's wondering about what the actual sales will be shown on Monday..

about the first day index of Love so sweet... let's say it's around 40000 - 60000?
but... the second day's index was 28288.. so I dun think the first would be 60000.. Plus Arashi isn't a really huge band in Johnnys compared the others (such as KinKi, TOKIO, SMAP, KAT-TUN, etc..).. Even tho it's that flower boys theme song, I dun think the first day and second day sales would have a huge gap inbetween...

Edit: OK I counted Love so sweet sales again between 2007.2.21 and 2007.2.25.. Those six days' index are
28288, 12626, 8169, 12144, and 8951.. The total is 70178 for those six days.. Even if the index was 60000 on 2007.2.20, the total would be just 130178.. That's so far away from 204493 (actual sales number).

well to me, it usually updates around 2 - 3 am PST.. so lately I've been up till 3am.. LOL

I thought that if the a album or single is released like on a wednsday then oricon updates the sales the next wednsday so that it would be a whole week

okay. Oricon shows the NEW daily ranking around 3am PST on Wednesday (during winter), so that's Thursday around 8 pm in Japan. Then the website post the actual sales number on Monday around noon (that's Tuesday around 4 to 5am in Japan).

The first day chart shows the "pre-sales" or "pre-release" sales figures. For example, A BEST 2's first day on chart was 2007.02.27 instead of 02.28. Oricon shows the actual sales figures on Monday, so that means the new albums / new singles sales only includes the first six days' sales, while the ones already on the chart have the "extra" Tuesday sales count.. so 7 days' sales (using A BEST 2 as the example, those already on-chart albums during the last week will have 2007.02.26 sales count as well I think).

Did I make anything wrong above..?

maybe avex have predicted exile album sales WILL NOT beat A BEST2
i think so, or i hope so. we all know exile or whatever it is, is nothing compared to ayu, right?. GO ayu!!!! make it millions!!!!

Funny scenario... let's pretend exile will not get no. 1. And ayu's A BEST 2 get 2nd week no. 1 --> the same color one.. LOL

This will be pretty funny if one of the A BEST 2 gets two weeks no. 1 while the other will be no. 2 forever. But I still believe that exile will kick ayu away. Not that I love exile (in fact, I dun have any feeling towards this group). I'm just being objective
