Haiz... y muz they always choose those pics of ayu that make her seem a bit overly dressed to foreign mags, i feel they shld choose pics of ayu in which ayu looks more sweet, they like purposely choose pics that are over dressed so ppl would misunderstood that ayu is one who is not girl next door at all.

Yep, definately a (bad) Uraayu-related picture. Even though the Britney Spears reference was unnecesary, the article really was a nice one. I just wish she had more magazine exposure here with good pictures to include. Oh well, I guess it's too much to ask for. *runs to look for magazine* Thanks for the image to both Mimika and Ayunite. ^_^

Ayu Mentioned in "Wired" magazine back in May
Hey!!
I didn't know about this until I came across this page - http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/11.05/play.html?pg=9 "Issue 11.05 - May 2003 PLAY street Ayumi Inc. Japanese Schoolgirl Watch What does it take to be queen of the J-pop scene? Twenty-eight hit singles, blond extensions, and a doughnut-endorsement contract. Ayumi Hamasaki, 24-year-old songstress turned merchandising phenom, has built a multimillion-dollar empire by hawking the conventional (her own J.Lo-esque clothing) and the very strange (a Mister Donut special: four rings of deep-fried dough, two sparkly trading cards, and three drink coasters). The pop star's Ayupan line includes key chains, pencil holders, and lunch boxes featuring her cartoon likeness. Her series of creepy, doe-eyed figurines is so popular, her followers have been known to pick up 300 at a time, creating a Beanie Baby-like craze. The extreme demand has led to the opening of a Tokyo store dedicated to the Hamasaki doctrine. Resistance is futile. - J. Mark Lytle" "Wired" is a magazine in the US, about cool gadgets and stuff. One of their first issues was dedicated to how cool Japan is. Ashley |
