Ayupan Appraisal...
Hey guys,
I was randomly thinking about possibly selling one of my Ayupan...I have the red Boys & Girls/AUDIENCE outfitted Ayupan from STADIUM TOUR 2002 A...I know it's fairly rare, and sought after...how much do you guys think I could get for it? |

All Ayupans sell for 4-8$ each on eBay. A lot less on Yahoo Auctions.

The rarest stadium tour 2002 ayupans are the "black dress & sandals", the "pink nightgown", and the "sunvisor" (check http://www.eneabba.net/ayu/ayupan/index.htm) for a better idea). I've come to that conclusion by checking Yahoo Japan Auctions daily, when searching for a specific ayupan.
If it's a pretty common ayupan, it'll sell for about 300 yen. If it's rare, expect to pay a lot more. For example, the T.A. Tour live "pink suit" ayupan, the AT05 zebra suit ayupan... I've seen their starting price at 5000yen. And the most expensive? The DVD memorial ayupan, the "secret" one... You'll have to pay 20000 yen +. Anyway, I suppose that if you put it on Ebay, you might get some people who are willing to pay lots for a relatively rare ayupan. Good luck! |

There's lots of people on eBay who has no clue about the worth of some of the ayupans. I got some of the more rare ayupans for the same price as all the other ones.
The only ones that always go for a bit more is the ones that come in the little plastic boxes, the ones with big white dresses, don't remember from which tour. They're like 30$ each.

I think the worth is really in the eye of the buyer and seller. It's entirely possible to buy an ayupan for the original Japanese price (shipping included!).
Your best bet is to see how bidding is going for the same ayupan or one that is considered the same rarity. But I'd still go with immel as far as average price. Collectors usually only pay more if 1) they're missing it or 2) it's new and sealed (like the boxed ones). |
