Wow she did A LOT of writing for this album.

I heard the rumors that her record label didn't like the album, and they wanted her to re-do a lot of it. However, she refused to change anything.
I think that's just a rumor though... the record company wouldn't release anything if they didn't think it would be profitable.

^She, basically told them to F' off!
It wasn't a rumor, they did want to scrap the album but Kelly went with it anyway!

From hearing the first single, 'Never Again', I can see why the record company would want to scrap it. Not because it's a bad song, but all the instruments incorporated in that song are really non-mainstream (and IMO very random). Very un-Kelly.

Too me, it seems that with the music and even the title of her songs she tried very hard to be different. Maybe too hard. It seems to me that she annihilating her music just to prove a point. For her sake, hopefully she is able to prove it...but...from the sounds of Never Again, I don't see it happening.

Plus, has anyone notice how she's not even performing Never Again? Instead, (for instance) on the Country Music Awards music awards she performed 'Because of You' and on Ellen she did 'Since U Been Gone' (she might of did Never Again and I missed it). I find it kinda odd that while promoting a new record she singing her oldies.

She performed "Never Again" on Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel, Regis & Kelly, and Letterman. I'd hardly call that a lack of promotion

I am absolutely in love with "Never Again" though. I think it's about 15,000X better than anything she's done before. I can tell you one thing, I'll be buying that album the day it comes out. I'm even considering buying tickets to the "My December Tour". I sincerely hope the rest of the album is harder rock like NE.

She also performed Never Again on the American Idol finale so I don't think there is a lack of promotion on her part. And it did debut at #8 on the Hot 100.

i love the cover, the tracklist, the names, and most of all, i love that she's breaking off from her previous music...after a person wins Idol, they are like a puppet for the first album, which i hate...look at Carrie Underwood! i hated Some Hearts, because there was nothing interesting...just a bunch of boring songs with a good singer singing them...i really love it when they go off and do everything for themselves...im definately buying this the day it comes out! *along with the new Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus albums*

Oh no, believe me. I absolutely adored her first album too. I own it, and SYBG, BTHE, and Because of You were seriously some of my favorite songs ever, but I just like this new rock style even more than those.

I agree with all of this, but it's just kind of funny that you say you're buying Hanna Montana's album on the same day because she's the biggest puppet in the entire music industry at this moment

im not buying it for the Hannah Montana disc...im getting it for Miley's debut album, which she wrote/cowrote all the songs for...i could care less about the Hannah Montana disc...thats full of garbage about how no one's perfect, and how she's a normal girl and stuff..im just mad that they stuck them together, cuz now Miley will never be known as just Miley...but anyway, im getting really offtopic haha

i have just one question about this album...what does Chivas mean? it sounds cool...

I think the covers quite pretty and the dress is lovely, but I've never really liked her music.
