i think another popular diva like ku,hikki,ai,namie have a strong sales after 1st week sales..
not like ayu get dropping very fast

Yeah but she has stronger first week sales more than ai's and Namie's which doesn't give her a need for high sales on the next weeks though it would be awesome if they would decrease slowly as well ^_^.

^Yea...Her first week sales are what keeps her going. This is ayu's what....5th or 6th time following below 100k and out of what......41 singles. That's impressive...very impressive!

so the 1st week sales very srtrong can continue her consecutive single at #1 and don't lose..

keep goin' on until 25 consecutive single at #1 so ayu the 1st female can do it beside seiko matsuda

It's a little bit scary though how her sales are almost like a Hello ! Project artist. I guess it's because she gets more exposure than any of those other divas.

Well... Namie's PLAY album got heavier promotion than what Secret (and I think even both A BEST 2) got...
It did very well but didn't reach those numbers.. I mean more tham 600,000 and 700,000

Yeah, Ayu gets lots of sales in the first week than drops fast. Would be nice if she was more stable in her sales. But in the end, it's all the same. "PLAY" did super well. I'm really happy for Namie because she hasn't been doing super well. "STYLE" sales were just horrible! It's true that she got lots of promotion for "PLAY". Ayu didn't get much promotion this year. Hopefully, she'll do for her next single.

I ment in terms of public awareness in general, not promotion of a single record. If people read about ayu in the tabloids all the time, they'll somehow easier know what she does in general, also when it comes to releasing albums and records.

On another note, no way a namie album got more promotion than a best 2...

^I wanna know why her sales where off the chain? (Kumiko, I mean) No matter how many times I look at her previous singles and their sales, I cannot figure out why it sold as well as they did!!!

Not really, I was in Tokyo the week after A BEST 2 was released and it pretty much disappeared...

Just a few posters, and a CM at Shibuya 109. Nowhere near as aggressive as A BEST back in '01!

I'm soo confused as to how t2m fell out of the top 30 before Kuu did...and kuu's was released prior to t2m. i just don't understand.
